|Remember me||RE: Poston. Find a grave wont allow me to delete it as I am not the originator of it. thank You.|
Yep, they don't make it easy, I'll send message to Find A Grave to have it merged into correct location.
Hello, I see that we have a lot of the same family members! My Grandmas Maidens name is Cook (Margy Cook) but she married a man named William in the 70's before he passed away and she took his last name of Lukowski. It is very neat to see how this all connects, how are you related to the cook's?

Hello! I had seen that you left a message for Charles F Sturm, calling him your Great Uncle...I am the GGGranddaughter of his sister, Ella J Sturm. I would love to connect with you on this family if possible. You can email me @ Bloomflowr@gmail.com
Thank you! Angella Bloom
|Cathy W.||...one more thing "cousin".|
...Another " cousin" contacted me via genealogy sites. Her name is Arlyn. She is a direct
(maternal) relative of Florence, who is her great grandmother & Violet who was her grandmother. She spent time with the Newell & Gilmore family members! (*said with excitement.)
Arlyn's mother passed away during childbirth. She was raised by her grandmother Violet(who moved into the home with Arlyn's father to help raise Arlyn). She has wonderful stories that she grew up hearing from Violet. Arlyn was a very small child when Florence passed away, so she barely remembers Florence.
Arlyn at this time, is considering flying to Lincoln NE early this spring. or in the fall of 2016. She wants to meet me and my family. She is anxious to visit Omaha & Plattsmouth NE that she has heard so much about growing up. She has never been to the midwest before. She lives in Vancouver, Washington. I believe that the name Arlyn might have came about in honor of Violet's only sister Arlene. Arlyn knew Arlene ( and her children) quite well. Violet & Arlene meet up and visited each other as often as they could. Violet was actually quite close to all her siblings. I actually remember meeting Violet here in Nebraska, when she would come from WA to visit my grandfather/her brother James " Jim" C. Gilmore. I was about 12 years old then. But I do remember the laughter and true chemistry they had with each other. They were both enjoyable to be in the same room with. They were very comical and had the same since of witty humor. Arlene ( Their sister) had that same witty humor too. Jim really did enjoy his sisters. * I thought you might enjoy all this.
I just find all this so beautiful. Our ancestors I bet are thrilled & proud of all of us for our research, but also reaching out.

|Cathy W.||I would love to speak with you again cousin|
This is Cathy in Lincoln, Nebraska/USA. We are cousins via Wm. Lafayette & Florence (Newell) Gilmore. I'd love to speak with you again. We last spoke in August. Where did the time go? Seems like the summer/fall just flew by.
I am also in contact with Mark Belcher, from ancestry.com site. He has added additional photos & clips I have sent him to his site. He is retired and lives in Colorado. He is the great grandson of Corral ( Gilmore)Carroll. She was Wm. Lafayette's sister. Mark also has a Find A Grave page. if you go my my Find A Grave site, you will find him under "my friends".
Wouldn't it be a nice thing if we exchanged information and expanded our family heritage knowledge?
Do you still have my contact information?

|Sherryl Clark||duplicate memorials|
There are duplicate Find a Grave memorials for Michael Lauver, yours having been added last and yours attached as well to a duplicate of his wife Anna Kendig-Lauver. The other Michael Lauver memorial # 40780500 was posted by Kirk Vredevelt and have contacted him as well in the hopes that you two will consolidate Michael Lauver's memorial to be less confusing to other gen. searchers. I have also contacted g alexander who posted Anna Kendig-Lauver memorial you attached your Michael Lauver to, also in the hope of clearing up the confusion of too many memorials for her. Thank you,
|Cathy W.||Florence ( Newell) Gilmore & Violet (Gilmore) Grant|
I got you email and photos this evening. I am sooo happy that my information and maps helped you find them at Acacia Cemetery. I am thrilled you took photos & shared them with me.
It's rewarding to meet you, and to see our shared relatives grave markers. I am thrilled. Thank you.

|Cathy W.||RE: Gilmore|
Hi Lynn, 7/26/2015
I have updated Florence E.(Newell) Gilmore's Find A Grave page, with her OBIT I was recently given. I called this afternoon for the exact location ( plot & grave #) and waiting for the cemetery to call me back.
My great grandfather Wm Lafayette Gilmore is buried near me in Omaha, NE. I made a Find A Grave page for him as well. Shortly after WM L died, Florence went to live with her oldest daughter Violet J.(Gilmore) and Violet's husband Oscar Grant in Seattle, WA and lived the remainder of her life there. My grandfather James " Jim" C. Gilmore was WM L & Florence's son.
Violet and Oscar Grant are also buried in Arcacia Memorial Park in WA as well.
