|Donald E. Streeter||Gen Michael Corcoran at Libby Prison|
Hi Ter -
I got your name from FIND-A-GRAVE and your GGF's grave site info. From my research on my GGF PVT PA Streeter, 2nd VT Co C, who was lokewise captured at 1st Bull Run and imprisoned in Richmond VA in Libby prison, I have seen info that your ancestor was there too at the same time July 1861 to at least Jan 1862.
I have some written info that my GGF wrote on his experience there [not really too much]. but am wondering, hopefully, that the good General wrote some memoirs on his prison experience or any other experiences. I am trying to piece together the Libby experiences of Gen Corcoran, my GGF and one other notable, Honorable Alfred Ely, congressman from NY who was also captured and interred in Libby.
Anything or any lead would greatly be appreciated.
If you have nothing then please let me know that too so I can keep looking in other directions.
Thanks for listening
