My particular areas of interest are Berks, Montgomery, Schuylkill, Lehigh and Montour Counties in Pennsylvania.|
I have a large resource of cemetery memorials for Patriots of the American Revolution and Civil War soldiers. I would be more than happy to assist anyone in their research in this area.

Berks Burials - Wm Gantz
|CLARK FREDERIC||Lieutenant Jacob Levan Jr.|
Thank you for including the additional information to Lieutenant Jacob Levan's page. At the least, serious researchers can verify it to their own satisfaction. His father Jacob Levan Sr., who is buried at his Eagle Point homestead; is my direct blood line, and I have been researching that Levan line for over forty years. As a member of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution, Lt. Jacob Levan (1736-1778) is my source of member ship, and was researched and approved by their genealogists. The reason I posted a photograph of his burial card was to give credence to my claim that he's not buried at Eagle Point; further proof that Jacob's father was Jacob and not Daniel comes from Rev. Coon's book of the Levan family (available free on Google Books.) I have never seen proof his father was Daniel; although Daniel & his 2nd wife Susanna Siegfried, did have a son Jacob (1767-1824) who married Anna Maria Wink; there were many Jacob's in the Levan line which leads to much confusion; I count 17 in my line. I did remove all photos I submitted to Jacob's page as you requested, however the misleading one of the Eagle Point Cemetery, I could not, since Dave Weller submitted it. I agree with you whole heartily about the documenting of information and respect your rule for changing information. I am a member of Berks County Assn. for Graveyard Preservation and was involved in the research and restoration of the Levan Eagle Point graveyard; I already see names being added to that cemetery that are dubious. As a contributor to Ancestry. com, I have also visited family tree maker, as you, I am also disappointed with some of the information found there; although it does have useful reference's. I do not claim to be a genealogist or historical researcher, merely a compiler of records; the bulk of my information comes from University libraries, Court documents, obituaries, wills and history books. I have recently started to contribute to Find a Grave and appreciate all the time and work you've put into it. I monitor websites for Hope Cemetery & St. John's UCC in Kutztown, Pa., plus Fairview & Lyons in Maxatawny Twp., Berks Co. Pa. Any one is more than welcome to down load photos and information I have on those sites which can be found at www.webcemeteries.com Thank you so much for your help.

Would you be so kind as to link Lieutenant Jacob Levan, Born 1736 & died May 5, 1778 find a grave No. 47633490 and his brother, Col. Sebastian Levan # 47633537 to their parents; Jacob Levan Sr. # 73570097 & Anna Maria "Mary" Graff Levan, # 121292452
|apalmfrond||Thank you for the transfer|
and for the great photo you took of George Palm's gravestone.
Have a wonderful holiday!

Thank you for all the great work you do; I would like to make a correction on one of your entries if you don't mind. Concerning The Levan private burial ground at Eagle Point, Maxatawny Twp., Berks County, PA. Lieutenant Jacob Levan, Born 1736 & died May 5, 1778 find a grave No. 47633490; He isn't buried at the Eagle Point site as assumed but at the David Levan private cemetery at the intersection of Willow St. & Normal Ave. Kutztown Pa. The Cemetery no longer exists & the farm house was torn down some years ago, however one stone remains, that of Elizabeth Croll, the last remnants of a burial grounds associated to the original farm house. It is in this area the referenced Lieutenant Jacob Levan is buried. I have posted a photo on his site, of his burial card. One more correction I would appreciate concerning Jacob, is he was not the son of Daniel & Catherine Levan, but the son of Jacob Levan 73570097 & Anna Maria Graff who are buried at Eagle Point
Thank you Kindly

Neil, Thanks so much for providing the correct birth date on the above memorial, and for providing the obituary....fascinating reading. When I was at the cemetery and took the photo of the tombstone, nobody at the church seemed to know anything about it or the persons interred there. By providing this information, it brings the past to life, and helps that these persons are not forgotten. Keep up the great work that you do, Kitty
|Steve Ring||Re: Luberta Brintzeghoff Atkins|
Thanks for your message. I am not related to this line, but was assisting a friend in his genealogical investigation. He is a Brungard, a great grandson of Willamette Atkins and Luberta Brintzeghoff. He still has family in Central Pa. and I'll pass your message along to him. I do know that he has reached an impasse regarding his Atkins branch and hasn't been able to track it past Willamette. Again, thanks for your message and all your Find-A-Grave postings.

Thanks for the reply. If you happen to come across their headstones or additional information, I would be very grateful if you posted it or passed along to me directly.
Do you also have a tree on ancestry.com (Scheidt Footsteps)? Have you done any other research on the Gansters?
