Bio Photo I have been a resident of Virginia since 1985, most of that time in Richmond. I serve as Board President of the "Friends of Shockoe Hill Cemetery", and am the immediate past Commander-in-Chief of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States (MOLLUS), the oldest Civil War descendants organization.

I am happy to make corrections and additions as needed.

Grave of Heman Baldwin Sr
Thanks so much for the photo of his gravestone, and esp for the plot #.
Do you know anything about his wife, Hetty Smith Baldwin? Do you know if she was deceased before he came to Richmond? She is apparently not buried with him....
Thanks for all you have done to restore the Cemetery. Hope to get there some day.

Farrar and related families
Thank you for your kind note and efforts.
Our family always appreciates your efforts, Jeffrey. Thank you for your note. Please watch for any photo requests that our family happens to make for Farrars as presently family members are working hard in your area to get the family all memorialized. Thank you for all you do, and have done, to help us with this family effort.

Henry Clay Owens
Jeffry:
Many thanks for taking the photo of the flag, Company A
First Maryland Battalion, C.S.A. (Second Maryland Infantry) that I placed next to Henry Clay Owens' monument in fall of 2013. My brother purchased the flag at a reenactment event in VA, and gave it to me to install next to the headstone.
I'll be in Richmond tomorrow and hope to see the flag still there.

Sarah Puckett memorial
Why don't I just transfer Sarah's memorial posting to you?
Let me know if that is okay.

Lt. Colo. John Wretts Hannay
Dear Sir , My Name is Belinda Rivas I am the Great Great Grand daughter Of Lt. Colo. John Wretts Hannay and Helen C. Brooks-Hannay . I've been doing my family tree and I'm wondering if you might know where I can find records or history books telling me what they did for our country. I'm not sure if I'm having a hard time because He was a British Soldier. If you know of any history books or such that could help me . I know they did something because they made their house a Historical land mark with a plaque bearing their names. Thank you Belinda
