Bio and Links
Bio Photo With much of my immediate family growing in and around the Washington D.C area for generations, I was never overly curious about family history. After a friend who was more interested than I found photos of relatives gravesites in other states who were born during the time of Andrew Jackson I was amazed. Even a marker for my grandmother's unnamed infant son which I had seen in home movies had been photographed by someone.
I am most familiar with Arlington Cemetery, Oak Hill and Cedar Hill Cemetery on Pennsylvania Avenue. I have taken many photos for my own enjoyment and for friends over the years, but realize others are often not so near.

Fred Wheeler
Thanks for the latest updates for Fred Wheeler's memorial.

There is a Joseph B. Murphy b. 1887 and a James H. Murphy b. 1889 that might be the step-brothers.

Elfered? (Alfred?). I will have to check that out. A contact has info online and I need to email her anyway to see if she will give me permission to use family photos that she shared with me several years ago.

DeMarr-Wheeler
Just wanted to let you know that I was able to get the burial location for Marie DeMar Wheeler AND Fred is buried with her so I created a memorial for him this morning.

Section 24, Lot 88, Site 3 and Site 4.

Frederick E. Wheeler is memorial 144685783.

Marie and Burns Demar's son is buried at Mt. Olivet also. 1903-1963 and there is a memorial for him. His wife was Alice Levee Walthrop. I
am not sure if she is buried at Mt. Olivet.

Let me know if you want me to use the Request a Photo link.

Thanks for your help,
Margaret

Repetti
You have been such a great help! I took the liberty of moving the Repetti immigrant parents from an unknown cemetery (oops) to Mt. Olivet.
They were married at St. Peters and it was my belief that they were at Mt. Olivet but it was not proven. The children are all listed on their pages and I have just made updates to the memorials that you created and transferred to me.

Please let me know if you have any questions as I have lots of the family information.

Enjoy the day,
Margaret

RE: Demar Wheeler
Michael

Let me see what I am able to locate. I thought that you might be a Beckert family member,:)

Burns Demar's gravestone has no dates. The birth date that I used is from church records. Is there a military site where I can obtain the birth date that he used to join the service?

It would be my pleasure to maintain Marie's memorial.

If you come across and Repetti gravestones in Holy Rood, I am interested in providing information.

Your help is appreciated. Thanks for the photo that you provided for Burns Demar.

Beckert/Demar
Thanks for your response. You could call the cemetery office and request the lot number. Explain that she had 2 marriages and ask if her
"husband" is buried with her. Frederick Wheeler.

Once you locate Fred, list Wheeler as her married name. Anna Marie(Beckert) Wheeler. In the biography section, mention that she married first to(his full name) Demar.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you locate Fred Wheeler.

Thanks,
Margaret

Kearney
Thanks you for that terrific photo of the headstone for Luke and Catherine Kearney in Holy Rood. You even got a shot of the side of the stone where the children are listed. There are so many members of my family in Holy Rood I have lost count. I so appreciate your finding them with your camera.
