I came to Maryville TN to care from my Mom, who had come here 20 years before to care for her Mom. I spent a summer month here all during my childhood but never lived in the family "home place". Since coming here I've become engrossed in family history and find a grave was a place to find out quite a lot.|
I am related to many of my memorials, but if I have created a memorial for any of your relations, especially those only related to me by marriage, just let me know - I am always happy to transfer to a closer relative. If you want to request that I delete the memorial to your closely related loved one, please use the "suggest a correction form".

Hello again Linda, I posted another photo to the memorial you have for this gentleman. If you would rather that I remove it, please say so and I will. Just a bit clearer is all.
|Darrell Landrum||RE: Robert W Adams|
Hi Linda, such a shame really. People such as you and I and many other people are trying so hard to place as much information on memorials in the hopes of a loved one finding the memorial, only to run into a brick wall of anonymity. I have found several men in the Confederate section who have memorials set up that need to be corrected, but the person who posted the memorial is no longer alive. All I do in that case is to send an edit and wait for the people who run this site to get around to fixing an error, if they ever do. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi Linda, your memorial for this gentleman is a duplicate. I am working on getting better photos posted to all of the memorials for the gentlemen in the Confederate section and will eventually have a better one of his grave marker.

Linda, I saw that you have a copy of testimony of Susannah Atchley, my grandmother's grandmother, when she filled a claim for her property losses during the Civil War. I would be absolutely thrilled if you could email me a copy of it. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org

Hello, Thank you for your reply to my message. We are third cousins 1 x removed, and related on my father's side. I also, have some Arnold's on my mother's side. We may be related on that side, too. Clara Virginia Barnett was married twice. First time to my great grandfather - John Logan Asbury. Second to a Henry Newton Winburn. Is this what you found in your research?
|Catherine Hall||RE: James Chambers Hall|
Lots of water under the bridge. See your comment to me from Sept. At that time your bio on the memorial suggested just one daughter. You removed that reference so that there was nothing specified as to number after that. That fixed my concern.
I have been linking family to the memorial and others as has a cousin of mine.
The biggest problem with this memorial is that it is linked to the wrong cemetery. It should be the Hall or Hall/Conwell/Fortson cemetery in Goss, Elbert County. I posted a picture of the cemetery that had been sent to me by Chandler Eavenson.
I thought initially that maybe this was the name that locals called the cemetery and wondered about some names that I felt sure were not buried in the same cemetery with my family. Now it seems to me that Halls Grove Cemetery is a cemetery at a primarly African American Church so it is sort of funny to have a Confederate war memorial on that cemetery listing. But I don't know what to do about it now as the family cemetery is not listed.
I think you have already handed the management of this memorial and if I failed to thank you for that let me do it now. Thanks for passing the curation of my g grandfather James Chambers Hall.
If you would like to email me email@example.com.
Have a great 2015.
