Hello everyone, my name is Lisa, and I enjoy cemetery hunting in my home state of Florida. Long time advocate for cemetery preservation and recording the history of cemeteries in the US and Canada.|
Currently I am researching and gathering information from cemeteries in Volusia County Florida, Western North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, Northern Kentucky, the Western area of Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Vermont and New Hampshire. If you notice a mistake or have further information you would like added to any grave I have added PLEASE let me know, I will be more than happy to change or add anything. I am also happy to transfer listings to family and friends who want to keep them up to date.
I have a lot of time on my hands at the moment. This also gives me a lot of time to research pictures and travel to cemetery's. Please keep it nice when you comment to me. I swear I'm a nice person.
If you are a family member or friend who would like the listing transferred to you please use the edit tab on a memorial to leave me a message. I will respond to you as fast as I can, but no later than 1 week if I am on another work project.
I'm really not picky about who I transfer a memorial to since I am not related to most of the people in the memorials I have added. I don't really follow the rules for transfers on Find A Grave and would much rather see someone who knew the person maintain the memorial.
If you are sending information to me to add to a listing I am more than happy to add anything you want. Same rules apply as before that I will update the listing as fast as possible but no later than 1 week.
If anyone has pictures of some of the stones I have posted please feel free to add them as this would be an amazing help. If you want to add family pictures do that also. The only thing I ask is that midi files be kept to the comments area if you want to leave that.
Any of the grave pictures I've taken and added are free for you to take and use.
If you are requesting I take the picture please let me know if you have a general idea where the person is buried if it is in a large cemetery. If you don't that is ok too, I can get the info if I need to.
I hope to talk to other people out there about the fascinating worlds of history and genealogy.

Thank you for linking him with his parents. Can you please move him to Baker's Forge Cemetery in Campbell County? He is buried there with him mom and dad, and not in Woodlawn where you've got him! I was so tickled to find him in Baker's Forge this spring, as I had spent all of last year in Woodlawn taking pictures of memorials there for Find A Grave, and could not, could not, could not! find him . I went grave by grave, one at a time, with a clipboard and a list of memorials with no photos, and just figured he was destined to be lost. When I found him this year in Baker's Forge it was a relief.
His number is 100095056, and if you could move him to Bakers Forge Memorial Cemetery in Campbell County, Tennessee, I'll put up the photos of his grave.
Thank you again!

Just was wondering if you got my edits on Dale Guider a couple of weeks ago? Sometimes they get dumped in the spam folder...

I've been going up to the cemetery for a couple of months trying to clean up the sites. If you need information let me know and I will try to help.

Hi Lisa, it's been awhile since we talked, I hope you are well and on the go. The family of Eugene Fortner requested a photo of the new bench that was placed on his grave to be added to his Find A Grave memorial. Let me know if you were able to get the photo and possibly forgot to add it.

Thank you for the transfer of my grandparents memorials. It means so much.
Hi Lisa, I saw a request for a photo of Reuben Allen's grave at Sandy Creek Cemetery in Orleans County NY so I walked the entire cemetery today trying to find it to no avail. When I checked the cemetery records they have no record of him being buried there (and none of the Allens buried there are related to him: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nyorlean/cemsand1.htm I checked all the cemetery records for Orleans County and he is not listed as being buried in this county.I even checked the census and he is not listed in Orleans County. I see a Reuben Allen being buried in East Sweden Cemetery in Monroe County but the dates do not match (Died in 1822 aged 56 years). So when I checked Ancestry it forwarded me to your memorial which says he is buried at Sandy Creek -- was wondering where the info came from as he is not in the cemetery's records? Just want to clear up the mystery. Thanks!

Thank you Lisa for the information. I will try and see if I can find anything else. I appreciate everything you do for Find a grave. Ethel Gore.
|Wayne Augustine||additional information on memorial|
Hello Lisa: I appreciate you good work! I am researching members of Civil War soldiers that served in the Civil War in the US Signal Corps. One of the Memorials that you manage is Dr Charles S Taft who was the Chief Surgeon of the Signal Corps during its existence during the war at Georgetown DC and was one of the attending Doctors
at Lincolns death. It was stated in you bio of him that he was a field Doctor whenall of his actual service was in the Georgetown, DC camp of instruction of the Signal Corps. Please, at your convenience, correct the bio and attribute his actual service to the Signal Corps would be much appreciated. You have my very best regards for all the wonderful work you do in memorializing those that served, Wayne Augustine, Chicago, IL
I was a friend of Jonathan's, and was at his funeral. First of all, thank you for including him on Find-a-Grave. I noticed you had the burial listed as "unknown." Jonathan was buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Lincoln, NH. I hope that helps.
