Updated 2/24/2015

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

I will not be on the site daily--one of my family members is seriously ill. This is but a hobby--my family comes first.

I am also having internet connection problems (intermittently), so corrections will get done as soon as I am able, but within the allowed time limits.
Been "graving" since I was a child...and researching my genealogy for over 40 years.
I have been dealing with chronic health issues for many years, and I am always playing "catch up." I try and do the best I can. If I post a photo to one of your memorials, and you are not satisfied, feel free to submit a photo request and wait for another graver to fill it.
I DO NOT link to "Burial Unknowns." This is a "final disposition information" site, not a genealogy site, and I will not link to any burial listed as Unknown.

Per administrator Mark (9/21/2012):

"Admins won't knowingly link any memorial to a memorial of unknown disposition. We should not expect you to link them either."
I DO NOT give permission for my photos uploaded to this website to be posted on any other website (and that includes and is not limited to NO EXCEPTIONS! Photos posted to memorials on Find A Grave are copyrighted by the member who submitted the photos. Lifting the photo to use elsewhere (on other sites) would be a violation of copyright law, and a violation of Find A Grave's policy as well. Ancestry provides a link feature for you to add a link to Find A Grave memorials. Please read the Ancestry Terms of Use regarding copyrighted photos. Stealing them from here and uploading them there can result in the loss of your account there, with your money non-refundable.

REMEMBER: Just because a picture is on the Internet doesn't mean you are entitled to it!

Also, when requesting transfers, submitting corrections, etc., please use the EDIT tab in the upper right hand corner of the memorial. That way, I get all the links and can do them easily. If requesting a transfer, PLEASE state the relationship to the person you are requesting. I am related to many of the people for whom I created memorials, and I need to know this. I do out-of-guideline transfers on a case-by-case basis. Also, do not post correction or transfer requests on my page here--I probably won't see them, as I get many messages a day--and the EDIT tab is the correct procedure to use. Thanks in advance.

Please visit the memorial for my brother-in-law, who passed away suddenly on January 21, 2011 at the age of 54:

Bill Rampp

Thank you for your kindness.

Donald Berndt -Woodmere
Hello: Thanks for the information on Donald. I found his SSDI and confirmed his birth date. I also found his 1940 census, which gave me his father's name. Take care...

Rose Fritsch Hildebrandt
Thank you for helping to keep a family together.

My main source for Rose's mothers name is her marriage record to my great grandfather John Martin Fritsch.

Keep up the good work,

RE: Schaarschmidt family @ Woodmere in Detroit
Yes I would like to be able to take care of the Schaarschmidt family. My mother was Edna Schaarschmidt Purdy and she is buried in Alpena. There are many Schaarschmidt's in Woodmere Cemetery that I would like to link to their families.

Do you still do photo requests for Woodmere Cemetery? I see the requests are over 1000. I would like to fulfill some requests, but the office is not co-operative in giving out section maps & info. Can I ask how you attained your Woodmere info?
