Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have lived in south-central Indiana all of my life and I have been living in Bloomington since the Fall of 1982.

In 2004, I started wandering cemeteries locating veterans who died while in service to our country. I have quite an extensive collection of photographs and bios. In 2013 I started extensively photographing the gravestones at Clear Creek Cemetery in Monroe County, Indiana.

I find that cemeteries are fascinating, peaceful and contain a wealth of history if people will only take the time to look and wander.

My hobbies include reading, photography, spending time with family & friends, watching Indianapolis Colts football & IU men's basketball, and wandering through cemeteries.

I pride myself as a photo volunteer of taking the best photo(s) that I can for the requester. I have been enjoying photography since I bought my first 35mm film camera in 1978. I have been shooting all digital for several years now.

If I have added a family member of yours and you would like for me to transfer the memorial to you, let me know and I will gladly do that.

Many thanks for your recent photos to my memorials. They are as usual- superb!
Is pleasant Grove Cemetery in the Crane Weapons base? In the past Find A Grave used to have maps on the cemetery home pages but I have not seen any in a year or two.

Wards Chapel photographs
WOW! Thank you for the photographs of my relatives grave sites in Wards Chapel. Thank you for Amanda Cox, William Cox, E. W. Johnson, Hattie Johnson, Hazel Sipes, Elmer and Elsie Johnson, and their young son Burley Dean. Your photographs are excellent quality and perspective.
The stones look so new as if they have been replaced.
I would love to see the cemeteries. I did two very brief trips to Indian Springs and Cale area. I live 2000miles away but maybe next year I can plan a trip to be there on Memorial Day. Are all of the cemeteries open? Do they drive you around with an escort?
May I use your photographs in my Reunion program?~rp

RE: Frank & Eva Chase
Hi Jim!

Thank you so much for the photos! You really do take beautiful photos. And also thanks for pointing out Eva's death year wasn't completed. I'm trying to get these kinds of issue cleared up (completing headstones or replacing broken headstones, etc.) and will add her to my list.

Thanks again for the wonderful photos! I really appreciate all the work you put into this effort.

Margaret and Walter Jones / Clear Creek Cemetery
Hello Jim,
Just wanted to thank you AGAIN for the great pictures! You seem to be a few days ahead of me as I just uploaded the headstone picture of Margaret and Walter Jones (my 2nd great aunt and her husband) that you took on Aug. 10, 2013 and last month you did the miracle and posted the headstone picture of my long lost great grandmother (who is now found, thanks to you). Praying blessings over you and your family! Thank you again!
Sincerely, Marilyn Douglas Withner

Avah Douglas
Jim,
Thank you SO much for adding this picture of Avah's headstone. I have been searching for months to locate her grave and thought I would do a search today a different way on "findagrave" in an attempt to find her. What has complicated this search is that there was some question about where she was buried because she died out of state and apparently a cousin added a headstone because she didn't have one. Anyway, I can not express to you how much this means to me and my family and I am writing this with tears in my eyes! I live in the Houston (Texas) area it has not been feasible for me to search "on foot". Please know how much your work means to my family and to others!
Sincerely, Marilyn Douglas Withner
