Grandma Mac (Elizabeth Ella Kellogg MacFaddin) was the genealogist of the family. She got the "bug" from her father. She kept all her research in an old black suitcase. There were notes on all sorts of scraps of paper – the back of a grocery list, used envelopes and even a bank statement here and there. Her handwriting was neat and dainty. She would come down from Fresno and Daddy would drive her in to the Los Angeles Main Library to spend all day there working on her research. When she passed away in 1970 the suitcase was put away, until my sister took up the task in 1999, of sorting through all of Grandma's bits and bobs of information.|
I personally had no interest in genealogy. That is until 2008 when quite by accident, I found my Dad's name in another family tree. So it's not my fault that I've become obsessed with the family history. I have a need to connect the dots.
Back to Grandma Mac, wouldn't she just have a field day with all the information that is at our fingertips today? Many thanks go out to all the volunteers through the various groups, like Find A Grave that give their time to help put the family puzzles together.
Names I am researching: MacFaddin/McFaddin or McFadden, Boynton, Breed, Caldow, Clark, Cody, Higgins, Hiscock, Houghton, Kellogg, Rathermel, Sairs, Schuck and Wilder.

Thanks for all your work and contributions!
This is very addicting fun, and very much appreciated.
Thank you for posting Clyde & Antoinette Keith.
I did not know if Clyde had ever married. But thanks to your post of them and a little detective work I can add Antoinette to my family tree. Thanks a million! Kris.

You've created a memorial for my Aunt Ionia M. Steele. She is my father's sister. I would so appreciate it if you would transfer her memorial to me - and thanks, ever so much, for creating it!!
Sincerely, and best regards,

I noticed that you've posted a memorial for my maternal grandmother, Cecilia Burrell. I was VERY surprised to click on your name and find the story of your Grandmother McFaddin. I've been trying to locate my grandmother's birth information, as she was born Elsie McFadden (or MacFadden/McFaddin/MacFaddin) and given up for adoption in Los Angeles. Her name was then changed to Cecilia Clara Dietrich. I was wondering if you posted her information because of your ancestry work or were you just adding people from Holy Seplucher cemetery? She is buried next to my grandfather, Fred Burrell, and I noticed he is not listed in Find A Grave.
I would appreciate any information you can give me. I've been looking for grandma's information since 2000.
Thank you so much for your help!!
