Does that sound like you Great Aunt?
I was wondering if she is buried in the same cemetery as her husband & if she had any children.
I've not been able to locate her on the 1940 census, but that didn't surprise me because of her maiden name &/or her married name.
If the Wm. Carpenter is her husband that will help me fill in a few blanks.

Geraldine would have been my 2nd cousin, once removed.
Her grandfather, Milton Fisk Cross was a brother to my G. Grandfather, Uriah Cross
