Bio Photo Taphophilia: a passion for and enjoyment of cemeteries.

I am in the process of photo-documenting Sts. Peter & Paul cemetery in St. Louis. If you are aware of errors in any of my entries, please let me know. PLEASE USE THE "EDIT" LINKS AND PROVIDE YOUR MEMBER NUMBER (located next to your name on your member page) if requesting a transfer.

PLEASE NOTE: Because I receive a lot of email, I typically do not reply when sent an edit - just check back in a couple days and you should see it. I usually make edits within a couple days. If it has been over a week, please resend as I may not have received it.

Please don't add death certificates that are readily available on-line to memorials.

In addition to adding my family, I enter other graves. I am always happy to transfer a grave to a family member, or to update the grave as requested.

Families I am researching for my family include Mueth, Heidenfelder, Bockius, Buehler, Danneman, Frank/Franck, Freymyer, Meurer and Zieger--primarily found in the U.S. in St. Louis and Southern Illinois.

My husband's last name is Torrence. For him I am researching Torrence, Findley, Watt, Comstock, Peterson, Norton, Brown, Bieth, Sentman, Ritchie and Sixbury--from all over the Northeast.

Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to or any other website or personal webpages.

Catharina Biebel
Thank you for attempting to locate the grave marker for Catharina Biebel at Saints Peter and Paul cemetery. She was my gr-great grandmother. It is understandable that there might not be a marker as her family had recently come from Germany and just starting out. Thank you for checking.

RE: FAG update
That's not the reason was sending cert numbers but I will quit. I post them on the memorials when I have them.

RE: Thomas & Alice Brown
Katie, you're welcome. It's been years now since you requested Brown monuments in Cecil - subliminal suggestion, perhaps. Glad to finally hit a match... lots of Brown's in the region.

RE: Anna Scheidel
I'm very new to this site and don't know how to make changes in the site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The reason I know so much about this person is because it is my wife's g-grandmother. We were lucky enough to have my wife's aunt live to 96 and share with us a lot of information and pictures.

Anna Scheidel
The death certificate is wrong. Her mother Ursula was preganant when her husband Lucas died. Ursula remarried a Lorenz Hug on 07 Aug. 1848 at St. George's Catholic Church in Hermann, Gasconade Co., Mo. before Anna was even born on 07 Nov. 1848. Ursula Kraettle was first married to a Lucas Pilot in Hermann, Gasconade Co., Mo., on 20 Nov. 1846. Lucas Pilot died on 07 July 1848 in Hermann, Gasconade Co., Mo. So the child Anna, that Ursula gave birth to, has a maiden name of Pilot. I have the baptismal record of Anna and John Heinlein's daughter, Louise H. Heinlein which gives her mother Anna's maiden name as Pellit (just one of many spellings of the name). I also have a copy of Anna Maria Pilat to Johann Heinlein's marriage from the State of Missouri, Gasconade County, Book 'C', page 261. It can also be found in the book "Gasconade County Missouri Marriage Records Books A-C 1821-1873" by Teresa L. Blattner, published by Heritage Books, Inc. the St. Louis County, main library has the book R977.861 B644G page 96.

Anna Scheidel
Please be advised that Anna was first married to John Jobst Heinlein on 04 May 1868 in Hermann, Gasconade Co., Mo. In 1891 John died and about 1895 Anna married a Fredric Scheidel. Anna's maiden name was Pilot/PILAT/Pellit/Pellack. The Untervaz, Switzerland records have the name as PILAT. Anna and Fredric Scheidel had no children.
