RE: Lydia Mays Wilhelm
Lydia Wilhelm Mays, wife of Abraham Mays 1870 census has her middle initial as 'S' And in every record I have that initial is used. I believe I will change the memorial to that. Will that be okay with you? Or do you have something that says 'Jane'?

RE: Lydia Mays Wilhelm
I believe you are absolutely correct. I haven't worked on this family in a long time, I can't even find proof of the 'Jane' either. I will look through my paper records that aren't online. Thank you for pointing this out.

No, I didn't know your mother. I like to leave flowers for people, whether I know them or not. I wish I could do that with real flowers.

RE: Scott Munson 1843-1862
Hi Elle, Each regiment had there own procedure for those that had died. Not sure what the 44th New York actually did. Many times they were buried temporarily and later sent home for burial ... and many times they were immediately sent home for burial. I'm also not sure how to contact Mumford Cemetery. Wish I could help more.
