Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started searching for Maiden names of Women in the Family. Years of off and on research made some exciting finds.
Names lost of Grandparents Mothers etc on the male side and also on the female side. Names never to be known unless uncovered.
Thanks to the new Family I have found and their sharing of the wonderful Price history of our relatives. Thanks to the Journey To Cape Fear By Michael Price (A wonderful work),if not for EEPrice,I would not have the book..so a special thanks to you.
South Carolina Price Family,
The Price-Collins Family, I say a big thanks to all the help.
A special thanks for the help of the Bethel Baptist Church,a cousin there, in MS that led me to a path of My GG grandFather.
One year ago (2012) I knew nothing of my Paternal side of the lost Family.

RE: John A. Shealy
Charlotte,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I should have sent and 'edit' message to Nancy to change this information. The photo was given me by a friend who is now deceased. I have not been to the cemetery personally but need to go there and inventory the rest of the grave sites. It is a "Shealy Cemetery" located at 2327 Nazareth Rd., Lexington, SC. There is another "Shealy Cemetery" listed for Lexington with only one grave listed (Levi Jefferson Shealy). I don't know if this is the same one or not. That needs to be determined first so as not to duplicate cemeteries (if it is). If you live in the area and can visit it please let me know. I am not that far away and can make a trip over there to make the determination myself if necessary. I would like to have 'all' of the listings for this cemetery.
Regards, Don Whitaker

RE: Ken have you seen this Manifest?
Had seen part of this, but never the entire list. My wife's relatives are the Flemings & Hugh Maxwell -- numbers 18-24. But from what I've found, they were actually from Lanarkshire?
Thanks for the information!

RE: RE:Any Tew's in your tree?
Good Evening To You:

2 of my Baptist Church Members use's Wal Mart by computer with their photo's and they gave me the E-Mail Address to our Wal Mart we all shop at to send my pictures. Thank You For Telling Me This, As You Told Me First. I Thank You Again.

No, I do not have any TEW's in my family, but back in the 1970's (all of the 1970's years) I worked with several people with the last name of "TEW" and I told them I was a genealogy buff, and also that the last name "TEW" should be a very easy name to research. Those Ladies and Gentlemen it was 6 people at the Insurance Firm with the last name of TEW and they were all related. Now 2015, all are deceased. I will always think of the last name of TEW, truly a very odd name, but a very interesting name to me.

Thank You For All Of Your Help With My Graham And Gardner Families. May Our Lord Continue To Bless You And Your Wonderful Family Always.

Blessings In Christ Always,

Robert Miller

Families of Steele Creek

Information provided by a descendant, Eddie Price.

The first Price in Steele Creek was John Price, builder of the "Rock House ".

Source: David Reid of Mecklenburg County, N. C. by Louis E. Reid, Jr.

In January, 1781, during the Revolutionary War,Tarleton's English caval ry plundered the Ormand home, taking horses, a blanket from the baby bed f or use as a saddle blanket, and the family Bible for use as a makeshift sa ddle. It failed to serve that purpose well and was discarded shortl y, at Beatty's Ford on the Catawba River. Neighbors found it and return ed it to the Ormands. Minnie Stowe Puett recorded the incident on pg. 1 71 of her 1939 "History of Gaston County." Benjamin Ormand lived until 2 S pt., 1829. He left a will in Lincoln County, N.C.

RE: Charles Tatum Fullilove
As far as I know they have always been McSwain. Maybe a slight variation, but with the Mc as far back as early 1700's. I have ran across Swain's while doing research on them, and always thought they might be connected, but no proof so far.
