RE: Espy graves I couldn't get a hold of the property owner to get permission for declaration day. I apologize for not replying sooner but my parents have been really ill and my father's passing left so many things undone. I will continue to attempt contact and hopefully be able to work out a time to go and see the property. Again I am very sorry.
RE: Espy graves it is back in the woods in the middle of a pasture. It is not fenced in at all. I nearly cried at the sight. I did the best I could. Turned over every stone and and checked for markings. My Uncle helped as well. I am very confident that we pictured all the markers that were present. I posted several pictures of the site itself under the cemetery page. did you see those?
Espy graves My Uncle ran across this site while hunting. It is on private land and the owner did not want the area disclosed. I explained the need to find ancestors and she allowed me to post the pictures. I was diligent in linking the whole family together in hopes that someone would come forward to claim them. I am so very happy that the posts have meaning to your family. I am not related to any of the people buried here. You could tell there were other graves on the site, however they were unmarked or were just stones piled up.
