I discovered Find a Grave by accident soon after the death of our precious daughter, Marjorie. She was my first entry. I have added family members, friends, and others that I have no connection with but simply wanted to add them on these pages. I will have more of my family entered in the future. My wife and I are retired and we love it! I love riding the back-roads on my Harley and can't seem to ride past an old cemetery.....I love walking through them and find peace and quiet in them. Thanks so much to everyone that has placed notes, tokens, and have sponsored my memorials. God bless you all. |

|Myranda Abrams||My Permit|
I'm hoping that it won't take much more to get my permit. ONLY if my dad would stop putting me under pressure. I'm hoping that if i go this weekend then I can pass, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Sorry I let you down Tom. I'll get it sooner or later.
|Myranda Abrams||RE: ~~BEVERLY ANN ABRAMS~~|
Thanks I will be at my grandpa's tomorrow and maybe taking my permit test again so another good luck to me (:!
|Anne Beckman||RE: ~~GO COLTS~~|
SUPER to hear from you! I am awfully tuckered
out: Friday I spent HOURS on the phone, getting
a lot of information about a new dental insurance
plan. I must have 10-12 pages of notes! As the
STRONG chemotherapy (especially!) and the
radiation used to zap out my cancer took A LOT
of the enamel off of my teeth, I am NOT my
dentist's average patient. I've had a LOT of
repair work: resin is used, to replace the
lost enamel. It costs megabucks, so I had to
ask a lot of questions, to find the plan with
the most coverage!
Also, Bill and I took down all of our Christmas
decorations today. WHEW... everything is
packed away, except the Christmas tree. Wifey
will be taking the decorations off of it,
WHAAA, THE COLTS WERE SLAUGHTERED!!! Oh God,
the New England Patriots beat us
EXPONENTIALLY!!! US: 7, THEM: (7x7) 49.
Well, now that the season is over for The Colts,
my husband will pay more attention to me! (LOL!)
He has, thanks to a Christmas Gift Card, put in
a new doorbell (The old one was HAUNTED...
ringing in the middle of the night!) and a new
light on the front porch (I thought the old one
was fine, but he wants to remove it and put a
fan there...and the new one is easy to reach;
the old one has a chain that requires a bit of
stretching to grab onto) and, JOY OF JOYS, he
put NEW CAPS on the screws at the base of our
toilet! God Lord, he did NOT think you could get
new ones, without having to get an entirely new
toilet, but I KNEW THEY HAD TO BE AVAILABLE,
SEPARATELY...WOW, this was the FIRST TIME,
WIFEY had hubby beat, in hardware!
For this year: we have some wallpapering to do
and getting our photo albums in much better
shape. I've got to learn ShutterBugging!
Also, we want to replace some tulips that were
killed by that Winter Vortex and I'd like to
put more, along the wall of our garage that
faces the yard. Next Christmas, we have vowed
to NOT BUY ANY MORE INDOOR DECORATIONS (GOOD
LUCK, you ADDICTS! There's a Christmas store in
Brown County which we LOVE, that just EXPANDED!
A good number of our gifts came from there.
Also, BILL GOES BERSERK AT HALLMARK, especially
over the Christmas tree ornaments! During his
first look at them, during Christmas 2013, he
was so glued, one of the sales associates said
"He's like a little boy in a candy shop!" YES!!!
However, we -especially yours truly- want to
buy some lights for the house...maybe that is
silly, as our Christmas tree is on the front
porch, but as it is against a wall, it is not
COMPLETELY seen by our neighbors. Some figures
in the front yard would be nice, both religious
and from the Rankin-Bass TV Xmas specials we
watched, as children. (SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO
TOWN, RUDOLPH, FROSTY, etc.) Finally, some
words for each frame of our porch's windows,
such as PEACE, or HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS.
One last Christmas thing: I've started e-mailing
an older friend of the past...she is in her 80's,
but as sharp as a whip. she lives in Texas, but
is from England. The English are NUTS about
animals (Over there, the most dangerous animal
is a fox, and the weather is so dreary (rain
and fog)every family has a cat or dog to snuggle
with, as they drink tea, by the fire. As I was
telling her about me and Bill, I mentioned our
cat Aston. WELL!!! I told this lady I want to
get my kitty de-clawed, and she said DON'T YOU
DARE!!! She still has her very strong
personality, so she said this STRONGLY! She said
she'd give me some of my Christmas china, if I
promised to NEVER get the claws out. OF COURSE,
I SAID, "ASHTON WILL ALWAYS HAVE HER CLAWS."
We were not on the same page about websites, so
she sent me a check!!! A BIG ONE! Bill and I
decided I'd keep half and I took myself to our
local department store and found my two patterns
(Sped Christmas Tree which is semi- casual and
features a 19-century English Christmas tree,
as Spode is an English company, formed in that
century), and the formal pattern is Lenox
Holiday, based in the USA, which is cream and
bordered by holly and ivy. (A wonderful friend
of my mother's, who remembered, as I was a
teenager who'd been two years out of Christmas
toys, my admiring her pieces of it, gave me and
Bill 2 place settings of it, as a wedding
present..this is the Lenox Holiday. As for the
Spode Christmas Tree: a family in my
neighborhood, whose children I babysat, did not
attend our wedding, as their eldest was getting
hitched a week after we were! HOWEVER: During
our second Christmas, one night a UPS man came to
our door, with a box! Who was it from but that
very family and it was a Spode Christmas Tree
appetizer tray! Over the years, thanks to my
husband and my parents, the collection has
increased. There is stemware and flatware, so
as I'd asked Bill for a figure from a Coca-Cola
village (it's of Santa, gesturing to a billboard,
featuring him in a Coke ad, taking "the pause
that refreshes" while he is making toys..it was
not cheap...whhooee, that is the ONLY one I'll
ever get, as the other ones (A gas station, a
soda shop), being quite bigger, are expensive
city!!! I just got a 4-piece highball set, this
Christmas. I did manage, afterwards, with my
OWN money, to buy a dip container and spreader!
With the $$$ from my friend, I bought a LOVELY,
BIG open weave bowl, that will be perfect for
all the rolls Bill heats for our New Year's
dinner. Also, JUST BECAUSE HE LOVES ME (and be-
cause of the GREATLY marked down prices, Bill
did buy Wifey a Lenox Holiday lamp...no, not one
that goes on an end table, but one that is
small, and holds a tiny candle, inside.
(Unfortunately, it is not provided.) GREEDY ME
is still hoping to buy a creamer/sugar bowl in
the Lenox, or a 4-piece Spode Christmas Tree
wineglass set. If not, I'll live...
OK ANNE SHUT UP ABOUT YOUR GOODIES! However,
there is a LOVELY, HUMAN STORY: I did have a
difficult 2014, from the minute I learned of
our former dental insurance being zapped out,
and (during the same appointment) being told I
had TWELVE new spots that needed resin, to getting
a cancerous growth removed from my left cheek,
to putting up with another INFESTATION of bedbugs,
to having a LOVELY 50th birthday party, but I
had to bust my tail giving it, to bagging soooo
much of what we own, as Terminex told us to do,
before it sprayed the house, to taking the things
out, (Some bags are still waiting for that) then
trying so hard to REALLY LOSE WEIGHT, then after
the Terminex, WHAM, it was Thanksgiving and then
Christmas! A lot of nights in the summer and
fall, I'd get out of bed, after Bill fell asleep
and have a good cry. Also, Christmas is super,
but it is hard on the pocketbook.
WELL...the check from my friend and the marked
down Christmas china and my other gifts were
the Lord's way of saying to me, "Well done, my
girl, throughout a hard year!"
The theme of Mass today was being GOD'S SERVANT,
even when it is hard. The opening song was,
"Here I am, Lord."
Speaking of servants: I can understand President
Obama not being in France, in the aftermath of
the terrorist attack on CHARLIE HEBDO. I believe,
as he is the leader of a SUPERPOWER, he was
holding a meeting of his military leaders,
studying that group, to kill it! Our Ambassador
was there. I was so touched by the cover of
THE NEW YORKER. (My grandfather, on Mom's side
was from there and as when we lived in New Jersey
we went there often...so I fell in love with it,
and always will be. I get a bit chocked up,
thinking of my grandfather, when I see the
cover. ANYWAY: the cover represented CHARLIE
HEBDO, as the Eiffel Tower, with blood at its
base, rose into being a bloody pen.
Tom, I have not addressed any of what you've told
me about yourself! SELFISH OF ME...I feel that
I have so much to tell my online pals, as
everyone is "picking up after Christmas."
I will read your letter again tomorrow, to
refresh my memory. PLEASE pray for me and Bill:
as great as our lives are, we are still playing
catch up, after the bedbug removal, and our
"Christmas colds." I've been wanting to go to
the YMCA and swim off the bad vibes, but something
always got in the way (YEAH, such as grabbing that
Christmas china...SO IMPORTANT!) whether it was
opening more of an endless number of those bags,
or the bad cold. As the sun is finally shining
and the winter freeze is over, I DO FEEL BETTER
and WILL SWIM.
TAKE CARE, MY SWEET MAN...SEE YA LATER, ALLIGATOR!

It's good to hear from you. I hope you're well and your beautiful granddaughters are well too. They must be all grown up by now.
Take care sweetie. Thank you for staying in touch. Are you on Facebook?
|Anne Beckman||MA BELLE FRANCE|
I am so very saddened, as a human being, a
journalist and a person of French descent, to
know what happened in France. At least all but
one of the terrorists have been found and killed.
Through Face Book, I saw the cover of The New
Yorker, expressing this tragedy: it is of the
Eiffel Tower, with blood at its base, and rising
from it is a pencil, with it's "drawing point"
red, also. PARFAIT. (French for PERFECT.)
If there is ONE good thing to come from this:
as terrorists commit their atrocities across the
world, EVERY NATION SHALL BOND WIHT THE OTHERS,
TO KILL THIS EVIL...as it did in WWII.
I KNOW, how you such a patriotic person, who was
a boy during WWII, and saw the necessary
sacrifices, often the loss of sons and brothers
and husbands (I'm thinking of THE SULLIVANS) and
such hard work.
I had a wonderful Christmas, with my husband
and our families. For New Year's Eve, we went
to our usual NYE Place: The Cheesecake Factory.
A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS GIFT: An older friend of
mine, gave me a surprise Christmas check,
just because I promised to never have my cat's
claws out...she is EXTREMELY fond of animals,
so she is extremely PROTECTIVE of them.
I KNOW WE (All the GOOD people of this earth),
shall began to be EXTREMELY PROTECTIVE of
ONE ANOTHER...as a girl, I thought any new war
would be against "The Evil Soviet Empire, and
All Other Communist/Socialist/Totalitarian
Nations...BUT, TODAY...even THEY will help the
rest of the world fight THE WORST THING:
TERRORISM. This surpasses ALL freedom blocking.
PLEASE pray for my husband, who still has a bit
of the cold he got from work, before Christmas...
also, he has AWFUL post nasal drip, sometimes.
Last night was one of those times. He is SO
HARDWORKING: between his two jobs, today, he
used a (XMAS) gift card from a hardware store,
to purchase a new doorbell, and a porch light!
He's coming home with a pizza, for dinner.
Also, he's volunteering (which he does upon a
regular basis) for the Knights of Columbus'
monthly brunch, tomorrow. I AM BLESSED.
I am leaving him ALONE, while he watches the BIG
GAME, tomorrow night: COLTS VS. BRONCOS.
HE IS BLESSED! Really, this one is SO INTENSE
(MANNING VS LUCK), I WILL be watching. Not ALL
of it, though, LOL!
Going way back to Frances: I visited her today,
choosing a snowman graphic. As she suffered so
much with her mental/emotional health, I asked
her to, with the Lord's help, AID me, in my
delicate condition, during winter. Also, Bill.
Finally, and most importantly, all the poor and
homeless, during Winter 2015.
I AM BLESSED TO HAVE YOU AS A FRIEND!
SEE YA LATER, ALLIGATOR! ANNE
