|I am married with one son living in Northborough, MA. I have enjoyed genealogy all my life but I have gotten more involved with it since 1999. I found findagrave.com very helpful in finding family groups. My family is from NJ and SC so I can't get to the cemeteries myself. I really wanted to find a way to give back, so I decided to volunteer to take pictures of headstones in my area. I love cemeteries and being outside. I also live in an area with many very old graves. My concern is that many of these stones are becoming illegible and if someone doesn't record them now, they will be lost forever. I am especially committed to making notes of the epitaphs. Note: my real email is email@example.com but the system won't let me change it.|

|John Evans||RE: photo request|
You have my permission thanks for asking
|Janet Reasoner||RE: Elihu Sheldon 99509047|
I'm no relation and would be happy to transfer Elihu. The wife was not entered because her name is illegible. Why don't you enter her yourself? I don't save all the old pictures on my computer so you have my permission to copy Elihu's picture to her grave.
By the way Elihu's number is 99059047. It is much easier if you make requests through the edit key.
Thanks, Jan Reasoner

Wonder if you could shed some light on John Whitlock buried at Elmwood in North Brunswick. At one time I thought Sarah Ann Cornell was in my line until you provided information that proved me wrong. I'm still trying to track down a Sarah Ann who was the wife of John V. Whitlock. John V is my G-G-G Grandfather - he was married to a Sarah Ann. I have reason to believe now Sarah Ann is buried in Elmwood 106302715. Her maiden name might have been Fletcher. Her first husband was named Mershon and she might have had a second husband named Bissett with John V being her third husband. I still working on researching that. Not sure about that yet
My question is what do you know about the PVT John Whitlock 12868733 buried in Elmwood. I'm wondering if that is my G-G-G Grandfather John V. Whitlock who I have entered in FIND A GRAVE under 104547968.
I'm wondering whether I need to merge John V that I entered with PVT John Whitlock or are they two different people.
I know in my own immediate family there are John Whitlocks all over the place. My brother, my dad, my grandfather and so on and so on. John is a very popular name among Whitlocks - same goes with the female name Elizabeth
Any light you can shed on PVT John Whitlock is greatly appreciated.

While I haven't yet connected Leopoldine or her son Amedée directly to my family, they keep coming up in my search.
I can help a bit with the translation of Amedée's tombstone. "Tombe à Vimy" actually means "Fallen at Vimy" in other words, he most likely died in combat at Vimy Ridge. (It should actually be tombé but in french the accents are dropped on capital letters.)
Thank you for taking the time to photograph these tombs. It's much appreciated :)

Thanks for the great photo and so quickly, too. Miriam Goddard is buried in section 5 at Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury also but I don't know if there is a stone. Do you happen to know if there is one? I won't request a photo unless I know there is a stone. Tnx. Nancy
Thank you so much for the photo of the Tinsley grave!
Thanks for taking & posting the picture for me.

Am interested in locating his grave. Believed to have lived in Marlbough MA his whole life. He had a son named George (buried in Buffalo, NY). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Wildflower
I posted a photo for Orson M. Allaben, but it's just the family headstone. I've looked all around the family plot and everywhere close to it and came up with nothing on him or his wife. If they are somewhere else in the cemetery, I'll try and find them. But where he is listed, he's not. There's another Orson M there, but the dates are different (1859-1861).
