The problem with the Saga meetings
The problem with the SAGA meetings is that they schedule them when I am at work and April or May are very bad times for me to have off. (I work in a school) summer would be okay, but no, they can't do that, so I mostly do not attend unless the meeting is at least as far east as eastern Ohio. Last one I attended was in Harrisonburg, VA. I was also at the one the year before in Lancaster, PA.

Virginia and IL
My SAGA connections don't have anything to do with Virginia. Well, my grandmother was born here (the only one of her family not born in Canada, but my father was born in Gettysburg, PA and my mother, in South Bend, IN. I was born while my dad was in Seminary in Chicago, IL. Less than two years later, they went to Nigeria as missionaries for 16 years (minus bits of time now and then for furloughs. They were actually there from 1962 - 1985. I came back for college, then moved to England for 8 years. I am here, because my husband is native to the area.

Deana, I have made a request for Ada's tombstone photo. I hope you get it because you have already done the work.

Leonard Marion Litwiller
Thank you, Sulie for a beautiful photo of Leonard's grave. I don't believe he is my relative, but he is in my database and I have been trying to improve the records of those I don't know so much about. Pity, I wouldn't mind being related to someone like you. I volunteer with SAGA (Swiss Anabaptist Genealogical Association) but being here in Virginia, I find it difficult to find the time to get to some of these places, especially since I work full time. My mother was born and raised in South Bend. Her father was born in Berne (IN) and her mother in Pandora, OH. I live in Virginia.

The photo you took for Leonard and Ada was lovely. I just wanted you to know I really apprecitate it.
