My particular areas of interest are Berks, Montgomery, Schuylkill, Chester, Montour and Lehigh Counties in Pennsylvania. My strongest passion is to locate and honor all war veterans who sacrificed years of their youth, healthy lives and sometimes their adulthood. They must never be forgotten.
All of my entries to findagrave have been added with honor, one by one!
Hello Neil,

Thank you for contacting Find A Grave in regard to making changes and corrections.
We have increased our requirements regarding documentation in order to improve the accuracy of information available on Find A Grave.
They will need to send documentation for the update (i.e. link to website, official paperwork, source, documents, etc.) as to where this information was located. You, as a manager, can determine if the information is substantial.
If you need additional assistance, please feel free to reply to this message.

Many contributors are speculating on burial locations of old pioneer family members with no proof of burial. This may be encouraged by contributors who will not link to memorials listed as unknown cemetery. This practice is very deceiving for serious researchers who will be misguided in their research for accurate results. It also is misleading for those requesting gravesite photos. Without proper burial records, I may chose to decline family links.

Please consider that the information given in memorials is not only provided by the memorial manager but also by others through edit requests which cannot always be verified. These edit requests could also be added without the review of the memorial manager if not acknowledged in a given time period.

Please do not assume a middle name by suggesting a surname. I will not add without some official record such as obituary, death, burial, birth record, tombstone or individual's signature. Middle initials on tombstones with first letter of mother's surname are seldom the actual baptized middle name as many incorrectly add as fact. Such initials are also often redundant with maiden names. I prefer to display names as they are most commonly perceived by skilled researchers and/or as they appear on the tombstone.

My thanks and devotion to you who are courteous, polite and appreciative. Those who are rude, demanding and condescending, are not in the best interests of findagrave principles.

My Patriots of the Revolution include:
George Herbst 1712, George Dry 1725, Johannes Koch 1725, Jacob VanReed 1726, Michael Bauer 1729, Daniel Guldin 1735, Johann Christian Scheidt 1736, Michael DeLong 1739, Phillip mathias 1740, Bernhard Eitel 1745, Michael Krebs 1744, Henrich Knauss 1746, John De Turck 1747, Marmaduke Von Buskirk 1750, John Grant 1754, Sebastian Koch 1757, John Breidegam 1757, William Krumrath(Cronrath). My Loyalist who fought for the British is Christian Flicker.

Hi Neil,

First of all, thank you for posting records for my Harrison family. John Harrison was my 5G grandfather and his daughter Lydia was my 4G grandmother. She was married to Daniel Conner, shown as Couner in a couple of records.

I also don't believe she died in 1786 as I have found occurences in the Quaker records from 1787 and 1788 concerning her and Daniel, which I will provide you if you like. I believe that the death date of 1786 is not accurate. In the "Genealogy of Berks" also posted to, the year 1786 appears under the death column but it is not in the format of the other death dates. BTW, she and Daniel ended up in KY, where he and some partners built the first blast furnace west of the Alleghenies.

Is there a headstone or marker for John Harrison at the Berks graveyard?

Thank you,
Becky Powers

Micheal Bauer
My name is John Bower and Micheal is my 6th GG and I would like to know if there is any way to get a transcription of the head stone. I suspect that somebody has already done it. I wish I could get to Berks County again but it will probably not happen for a while.
Any help on this will be appreciated. Also I could be related to you through Susanna Bauer Scheidt.

Are you related to the Russells that you have posted on Findagrave? If so, how? You can send your reply to my email addy or on here. Just interested as to if you are related?

Benjamine Cassel 48786987
I don't think the dates are correct for Benjamine Cassel.
Birth: Mar. 22, 1821
Death: Nov. 22, 1962

That would make him 141 years old when he died. There's already a record for this person at that cemetery and the dates are correct per the tombstone photo.

Do you like I've thought about subscribing to it and but didn't know if it would be worth the expense.

RE: Russel/Russell
If you find any obits for Russels or Russells, it would be nice to see them. I realized after looking at the article that it wasn't Hannah's obit. My email is I have put some Death certs on the Russels in Fairview.

Thank you for the obit for Hannah M Russel/Russell. I find the last name spelled both ways. Her husband's will has the last name as Russel. That is why I have the last name as both. I have no other way to show the spellings. Do you have other obits for this family?
