Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born on the "South Side" of Chicago, Illinois. My family, originally Southerners, returned to the South when I was less than a year old.

My father was a well respected pastor who led me to the Lord when I was seven years old. I was honored to have him baptize me later that same year.

I served in the US Army between the years of 1981 and 1983. I did my "permanent-party" duty at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

I am married with one child. I have always been a history buff, actually majoring in history at Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tennessee and Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tennessee. I am Southern Missionary Baptist, by religious persuasion and Republican in political persuasion.

I currently serve as Past Master of my Lodge and in many other offices, includeing: Funeral Master, District Deputy Chairman, History Committee for the Tenness Grand Lodge, F&AM. One of the proudest moments of my life came on 16 Jul 02 when I was raised as a Master Mason in Meridian Sun Lodge No. 50 in Athens, Tennessee. I also proudly serve as Past Master of my lodge. Furthermore, on 10 Sep 05 I completed my York Rite degrees and was dubbed "Sir Knight" in Athens Commandery #34.

For all gravers and genealogists, feel free to use any and all pics I may post. It gives me the greatest pleasure to assist someone in honoring a loved one who has gone on to their reward.

Thomas D. Wilson Memorial# 13061817
I was wondering if you would be able to check the actual tombstone for the death date. When I enlarge the picture the death year looks like 1916 instead of 1915 instead of 1915 but it's not that clear. I'm having trouble finding a death certificate and checking the date on the tombstone would be helpful.

Thank you for all you do!

Sorry, a computer glich
I have two Long cemetery's listed in McMinn
County Tennessee. The information I have is from
the WPA 1930's book and was made available to The
USGenWeb Project by Marvin and Samme Templin.
They list one as being the Long Cemetery, located
on County Road 608. In this they have the following:
James W. Long
Mahala J. Long
Mahala K. Long
Nancy Long
Nannie Long
Sarah T. Long
They do have their dates and some comments
on each of the above listed.

Then they have the Rev. George Long Cemetery
listed in McMinn County, Tennessee but it's
located on County Road 754.
It was made available to The USGenWeb Project
also by Marvin and Samme.
They list Rev. George Long
Eliza J. Long
Jane Long
He gives some of their dates and comments. They
also have a the following names as being buried in this cemetery.
Robert J. McKinney
Eric Von Perry
Fred Lee Trew

The Long family know there are two other Longs
buried in Rev. Geo. Long's, it is his wife, Nancy
'Elizabeth' Long and also his son, George Long 11.

Do you have two different listings for both of
the Long Cemeteries?

LANE CEMETERY
Hello, How do you feel about sharing your photos? I went by last year, but there was no clump of trees where I thought I should find the graves, so I could not locate it. Thanks. Jennie Hill Cobb, descended through his daughter Elizabeth Lane Hill md. Joab Hill.
