Bio and Links
Bio Photo I became interested in our family history as a direct result of the avid interest of my mother and oldest sister. My life has become enriched by this desire to know where I came from. Thanks mom and sis!

I truly enjoy Find A Grave and the Find A Grave community. This growing group of volunteers is so willing to help other researchers!

I am very willing to add to and correct any of the memorials I manage and will do so as quickly as possible. Please help me out by making suggestions through each memorial's EDIT button. This makes it much easier to locate the correct memorial to make the recommended additions and corrections. It will also make certain that I see the request. Requests made through member page messages can get missed.

Thanks much!

FELLOW PHOTOGRAPHERS - the website below has some great tips on photographing headstones, it is a worthwhile read - check it out.

Briefly - some Do's and Don'ts
- do use reflected light to photograph hard to read stones (use a mirror or other reflective surface)
- do get down to eye level with the stone
- do fill the viewfinder with the stone
- do take some close ups and some photos showing the entire stone
- do use only distilled water and soft wood utensil (bamboo or popsicle stick) to gently remove lichens
- do use soft natural bristle brushes

- don't use chalk, flour, shaving cream, graphite, etc. to read stones (these can damage and/or stain the stone).
- don't do rubbings as the pressure can damage the stone and/or break the stone off
- don't use soaps, vinegar, club soda, bleach, or cleaning solutions of any kind
- don't use wire brushes, sharp metal objects, knives, nail files, etc.

I see you do a lot of work at Greenwood. I lost my map and I'm wondering if you have one you could e-mail me. When I got my map, the man made me mail a stamped envelope and then they mailed it back out. Pretty slow way.

RE: Croake help
Thanks so much for checking the Calvary list, Jenean, and please only make the trip to Hillcrest if it's efficient for you, i.e., you have other work to do there. Absolutely no rush and if you cannot/don't want to take it on, just say the word. I know this is a huge favor and I don't want you to feel pushed by me, truly! If there's a way to email the sexton or a library or the county genealogical society (if they do free lookups), I'd be glad to, if you have that info. Anything to prevent you from making a special trip, which I'd hate for you to do.
Take care of you first (that's more important than this)! I can take it if you say you'd rather not. :o)

Croake help
Hello Jenean, I'm looking for Carrie Peebles Croake, Michael's wife. She passed away Feb 12, 1938. I'm wondering if she's buried near him in Calvary in Magnolia. His memorial is # 16887968, which you created.

Or she may be near her son (# 147278876) or her parents (# 57136201 and # 6020568) at Hillcrest in Albany. I set up a memorial for her (# 151512135) listing no cemetery - are you able to please confirm where she's buried via a list you might have of some sort? I don't want you to make a special trip to the cemeteries and absolutely no rush - I know you're busy!

Thanks as always for your kind and generous help,

Hi Jenean, I deleted the memorial #151111361 that I created and made several edits to the memorial that you found #52904118. Thanks for the heads up. See you soon, Cindy

The pictures are so neat! Thank you, Jenean. Feeling a bit of panic this morning ~ that winter is on its way ~ and somehow I've gotten myself overwhelmed again. So glad you're around to make it all turn out ok anyway.

PJ Miller
Millers in Monroe, Green County, WI
I have seen your name many times as I do my research, and wish to ask if you are related to Anton Miller Sr family of Monroe, Green, WI. He immigrated in 1852 or 1853. He is my great great grandfather.

Thank you.
