**********I have requested several times for management of Sharon Palmer's memorials after her passing. As of right now I do not have control of them. However, somehow others have been told I do. I have no control over them at this time. As soon as I do, I will happily transfer any memorials that rightfully belong to your family. Sorry for the confusion.***************|
My name is Melody Bills and I have been researching my family History for 7 years now. I am researching the Bills, Soard, Houston, Denman, Fryman, Wagoner, Navarre, Kidwell family lines- plus many more!
I have lived my entire life in Harrison County, Ky. I am the mother of four wonderful children. I just finished my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and am currently looking for a teaching job! I am working as a substitute teacher. I am using my free time to research more of my family history and to share what I know with other researchers.
If you have a question or a correction, please email me. I love hearing from others and helping out where I can. I have no problem transferring memorials to others who are direct bloodline descendants when I am not. However I want to keep my direct bloodline ancestor's in addition to people I may have known, friends, and family. However, I will always defer to FAG's rules regarding transfers. Findagrave is not a numbers game with me. It is a tool. I take pride in the information I post and do my best to make sure things are correct. I wish others took as much pride in their memorials and did not worry so much with the number they are posting and how many they are managing. Findagrave is about helping others, and sharing information...not how many graves you can control.
Feel free to use any of my photos for your family history, however if you publish them in a book, please inform me and give me credit so that I can have bragging rights! :)
Thanks and Happy History Hunting!!
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and the date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved.
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot.
And come to visit you.

I stumbled upon one of your Public Messages where you indicated interest in the Soard family. Over 50 years ago I dated Susie Soard from Kansas City, MO. I have a photo somewhere of Susie, brother Buzzy, and me. Did you have family in KCMO?

Hello. Thank you for empting to manage Sharon's memorials. I'm sure it is a huge undertaking! My question is a memorial she has of my relative, Nancy Hamilton #67083867. She has a copy of a death certificate on the memorial. I am trying to contact someone who she would have left her documentation with to see if they have any additional information on the Belcher/Hamilton side of the family. Would you happen to know a contact person? Please let me know. Again, thanks for keeping her info current; as I'm sure she is thrilled to know :)

I do not have any idea what you do for a living or just pleasure, but if you are not a published author, someone has been missing the boat. The story was so well-written that it brought tears to my eyes. I had a distant cousin whose mother had
2 children by a Bullock, then left them when they were quite young. I only found out today that her daughter had married a "Crump" when the burial site finally popped up on Ancestry.com. I had been searching for several years. I had located the son in Washington, but just found Daisy today. Haven't even determined who she married. i will get back to that now. God bless you. Incidentally, a lot of my father's people lived in Harrison county.

I did not know you, Sharon, but thank you so much for all your work. It is so sad to me that you are gone. A great loss to this world.

If you would like to hear what I have found, I would excited to share this info with any of his family. I don't think it would be kind to post this info where everybody would be able to view. Joe

Sorry to hear about the passing of your friend. It is great that you are taking over her memorials for her. Sorry I didn't get to her sooner. I was wondering about the picture she posted on his memorial.(Find A Grave Memorial# 47922540). I am wanting to copy the picture and use it for a column that I write for. Called Beneath our Illinois Roots. I found some interesting facts about this person and the picture would be just the right touch to finish. If there is a family person that you might know of that I can contact for permission, I am more that willing to try. Just email me to my personal email address, and I will contact them. Thank you for your time. Joe

Due to the passing of Sharon Benefiel Palmer, I would like to request the transfer of the memorials for the above named individuals; nos. 61830145 and 61830180 respectively. If you should happen to be related to Edward J. Hainey, then I would understand. We were only 2nd cousins, twice removed.
