RE: Jessie and William Rutherford
The one of the upside down grave marker is meant to show the beautiful ocean view in the background and to show the graves close proximity to their relatives.

RE: Stephen and Neva Rutherford
Hi Barbara
It is very difficult to even read it myself and the glare in the room is tough for photos but I think it just says Nelson Rutherford and left off his first name.

Sorry, I accidentally jumped the gun on your other Rutherfors photo request, I was using the app and didn't realize someone else had already claimed them. The pics are posted, let me know if you would like for me to remove them.

RE: Wayne Staats
Hi Barbara,
Sorry to bother you again but would you happen to know where I could find the obituary for Wayne Staats (ie: newspaper name and date). I would like to include his military service information in my family tree. Thanks you so much for all the work you are doing for the veterans.
All the best,

Wayne Staats
Hello Barbara,
Thank you so much for the edits for Wayne Staats (#127486976) in East Linwood Cemetery. Where did you come across this information? Are you related to him? If you are, I would be interested in talking with you about the Staats family as they are part of a branch of my family tree that I am currently working on. Please feel free to e-mail me at
All the best and thanks again for the information,

F.A.G. Mem.# 117949925
The following Obit. was published in the McDonough IL County Voice. You might consider adding this to the Find A Grave Memorial # 117949925.

"Charles F. Sides, 82, passed away Sept. 26, 2013, at home, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 7, 1930, in Dallas, Texas, to Charlie and Opal (Hopkins) Sides.
He graduated from Carter Riverside High School in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1949. From there, he played baseball for the Cleveland Indians AAA Farm Club in Lake Charles, La. He then enlisted in the U.S.A.F. and served during the Korean War, stationed at Holloman Air Force Base at Alamogordo, (White Sands) New Mexico. Under Colonel Stapp, he was involved in the testing of the chimpanzees for air and space travel.
He met Betty Terhune in Alamogordo, and they married in Petersburg, Ill., in June 30, 1956.
Charlie graduated from TCU in 1959. He began his extensive football coaching career in Illinois.
Charlie coached in many Illinois locations. Highlights of his coaching career included, assistant football coach at University of Illinois, head coach at Bloom Township High School, Chicago Heights, Rushville High School and Macomb High School. He then had the opportunity to be the offensive coordinator for the American Football Association's Alabama Vulcans. Some of his most valuable memories were of his time spent in Rushville and Macomb with his players and the community.
We would like to give a special thanks to those who traveled from Rushville to visit with him a few weeks ago, including Tim and Sheila Ward, Chuck Harris and Mike Bartlow.
In addition, he was so pleased to receive letters and phone calls from many past players, coaches and friends from the Rushville and Macomb area.
Charlie returned to Texas to continue his coaching career. He married Rita Nolan in 1983 and retired from Rockwall ISD. Together Charlie and Rita enjoyed raising and competing cutting horses throughout his retirement.
Charlie is survived by wife, Rita, of Terrell, Texas; children Gary (wife Myra) of Monroe, N.C., Kathe Moseley (husband Gary) of Frisco, Texas, LuAnn Kube (husband Kurt) of Frisco, Texas, and Linda Waldsmith (husband Rick) of Savannah, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.
Arrangements are by New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas. Graveside services to be Oct. 9, at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery."
