Hi
I got started on Find A Grave by helping my wife with her Ancestry Tree, So I thought that since we were running all over the States of NC & SC taking pictures in Cemeteries that I could help a lot of other people with theirs. Find A Grave is a great site and has a lot of good information on it. Don't agree with a lot of people on here that thinks you shouldn't share photos or Memorials with people. To me this is a sharing site. Now don't ask me about my Ancestry. My wife and I have a agreement. I stay out of her Ancestry Tree Site and she stays off my Find A Grave site.
If you see any I have posted and they are kin just ask and I will gladly transfer. Or if you have any problem or correction or more info just let me know will be glad to help any way possible. If I go to do a request I will look for other members of a family. Usually I will take at least 25 or more Pics each time I visit a Cemetery and post all that are not posted
NOTE TO ALL:
If you find any GRAVE pictures I have added and you need them to use for your personal use feel free to take it. If I was worried about copyright as some on here are like they are professionals. Then I wouldn't be taking any pictures.

Thank you very much, Mike, for photographing this grave. I know it is not always easy to find a grave in a cemetery and snap a photo........ but those of us who cannot make it to the site ourselves are VERY grateful for those that volunteer and do this for us.

Are you taking photo's at Gaston Memorial Park again? I noticed the photo request numbers have went down. I thought maybe they were giving you the grave info again. I sent a request to the Find A Grave Cemetery Fix link to add a message about people requesting photo's to contact the cemetery for the section and plot info and adding it to their request. I hope this puts you back in Gaston Memorial taking photo's.

I am trying to determine if George Walter "Wally" Turner (Find A Grave Memorial# 32577984) buried in the Berea Baptist Church Cemetery, Gaston County, N.C., is the same George Walter Turner who was my great aunt's second husband.
The two Georges match on several points: name and occupation, birth place, approximate birth year, and death year.
George 1 -- George Walter "Wally" Turner was born Sep. 4, 1868, in Franklin County, Va., and died in 1955. He was a merchant. Mr. Turner had lived in North Carolina for four years at the time of his death. (Sources: Find a Grave and N.C. death certificate.) His death certificate lists him as a widower. My aunt was still living. That may have been the family's way of expunging his second marriage. Or maybe they didn't know about it.
George 2 -- "My" George Walter Turner married Sarah Ann Gadd Hatcher, in 1921 in Raleigh County, W.Va. He was born in Franklin County, Va., around 1869. He died in 1955, according to Aunt Annie's obituary. He was a merchant. They owned and operated a boardinghouse and a grocery – G.W. Turner Grocery, in Sophia, Raleigh County. Mr. Turner was still a resident of Sophia in the 1940 census. (Sources: W.Va. marriage record, 1940 census, Annie's obituary, news articles and a photo of their store.)
Aunt Annie always referred to her second husband as "Turner." I don't know if that is an indication that they separated or not. It could have been an affectionate term.
I have been unable to find either a West Virginia death certificate or obituary for George 2.
