Despite what some of you may think, I do not intentionally "plaster misinformation" all over the memorials. I have researched most of the memorials I have submitted, trying to make sure the information is correct, looking for obituaries, census records, birth and death records. Sometimes I get it wrong, but I don't think that's very often. If you don't want information posted, don't send it to me. I have taken up posting the contributor number of those sending changes through email. If you don't want your number listed, do send the change.
- When I started contributing to Find A Grave the following was listed under FAQs:
What are your naming conventions?
Unless the legal name contains a hyphen, punctuation, including the () and /, should not be included in the memorial name. Full capitalization (ALL-CAPS) of names should not be used, whether it be surname or the full name.
- I see that they have changed their FAQs to the following:
What are your naming conventions?
Unless the legal name contains a hyphen, punctuation, including the () and /, should not be included in the memorial name. Periods are to be used after initials, as in normal English. Full capitalization (ALL-CAPS) of names should not be used, whether it be surname or the full name. Suffixes and Prefixes do not belong in any name field.
- I am adhering to what was the convention on Find A Grave when I first checked FAQs. Rather than change over 18,000 memorials, I will stick with the original rule.
I have received nasty messages from some who disagree with my choice of staying with the original convention. If you supply a middle name, this will solve your problem.

Hi Audrey, I was wondering if you could do me a favor and add some information to find a grave memorial #58648961. Mr. Ferrel Henry Reeves is my great grand father, his son Kier Whitmore Reeves is my grand father. Kier Reeves was born 12/18/1905 and passed away on 4/16/1994 and his find a grave memorial is #24431326. Thank you in advance - Allen Reeves

Thank you for your quick response. Sorry you didn't know the families.

Hello, My name is Barb McQueen and I have been researching for years to find the bio family of Katherine Ann Abell Malone Tinsman. She was my daughter in-law Brenda McQueen's mother. The family knew nothing of her family. I recently found a memorial on Find A Grave and contacted the man who added it and found out he is related to the adoptive mother's side. He gave me information to find her parents and grandparents etc. Do you know anything of the Abell family or any of the Malones?
Thank you for the Mauck-Fout transfers.

Thank you for putting my great-grandmother's name on here and letting me edit the information!

Hello, Thank you for all of your good work documenting these family graves.
Regarding Bishop M. Davis. I believe his mother was Susan Jane Marshall. I saw the last name of Monger in the transcribed index and think this is a mistake. Do you have a source for his middle name as well?

I see that you added the marker for a John Taylor in the Eleys Ford Baptist Church cemetery. And that he was a WWII veteran. I noticed just recently that another marker has appeared to the left side of his with the name George Taylor. Do you know anything about him? Was John Taylor a family member of yours? What caught my eye was that someone had placed an American flag on George's marker. I usually place the flags on all of the markers for the veterans and then remove them when the holiday has passed. When I saw this lonesome flag out there I thought that perhaps I had left one behind. But this was not one of my flags and I did not have him listed on my group of names. If you could help me out I would appreciate it. Thanks, Sheryl Harm
