As a lifelong resident of Mecca, OH, my key cemeteries of focus are East Mecca, West Mecca, and Hillside. I've also performed extensive photography and transcribing work in North View, Brownwood, and Greenlawn. Please contact me if you need any assistance with these cemeteries and I'll do my best to help.|
I am a descendent of the Armstrong's, Guy's, Poling's, McNinch's, Winans', Winters', Harris's, and Donston's. My maiden name is Armstrong.
My grandparents are:
Charles William Armstrong
Florence Lucille Poling Armstrong
James Loy Guy
Virginia Marie McNinch Guy
I originally joined Find A Grave to locate the graves of my ancestors, but I've since been on a quest to help others locate their loved ones as well. I've been photographing graves and adding as many memorials from local cemeteries as possible. If you find your relative among my list of managed memorials, please don't hesitate to ask me to add additional information, link family members, or even transfer the memorial into your management. I just won't be able to transfer my own family members but I can make adjustments or additions on your behalf. I will transfer outside of the Find A Grave guidelines! I believe if you are kin-direct or not-the memorial belongs to you before me.
As a child, I was always fascinated by cemeteries and walking along the gravestones to read the inscriptions. To this day, I have such a great interest in the people who have walked this earth before me. I believe that these headstones are so much more than a plot in a cemetery; these were people just like us with lives be they long or short that were filled with dreams and goals and passions. Every memorial I've created has been given as much love and attention as possible. If information is missing, it's only because it was not available to me. I scour birth, marriage, death, and census records and resort to family trees on Rootsweb and Ancestry.com when information is lacking. Please kindly inform me of additional information for these memorials and I will be most happy to add it.
Feel free to use any of the grave photos I have taken for anything you like. Please just ask permission before using family photos. Most of these family photos are already on Ancestry.com, so please attach to your family tree from mine instead of uploading them to yours as this can create all kinds of problems. Many of these photos were either rescued by myself or I went through great lengths to identify. Some belong to my other family members and used by me with exclusive permission, and have been given proper credit.
Update March 2013: I have currently transcribed a large portion of the graves from Calvary Cemetery, Schuylkill Co., PA because I have relatives of relatives buried there. Because I have no direct kin buried there, I will happily transfer any of these memorials to those who request it.

Hi, Would you consider moving all the figurines to the ground long enough to take a photo of the text. While it is an adorable picture - the text is the main priority. I think his wife's name is Ruth A but not certain. Would also love a close up of the couples photo on the headstone! Thanks, JMartin

I would love to create the memorials if you just want to send me the info. I'm really hoping that the patriarch Wallace Valentine Fenstermaker and his wife Jenny are in the same cemetery. With most of the children there I couldn't understand why the parents wouldn't be as well. I am so glad you have more to do and would love the transfers whenever and however you are willing to transfer them. I created a memorial for Wallace [Memorial# 120778154] with burial location "unknown" - so that I would have something to link all the children to. Thank you so much for the photo's you have already added to the file. They are really appreciated. Thanks, Jmartin (47658574)

Thanks so much for posting this on line. Brings good memories. I added a photo of me and my grandma when I was 4 at the zoo with her. She must have been about 56 -- same age as I am now.
Seems weird to be the same age as my grandma. I love her very much and still miss her!
Thanks for making this.
Thank you so much love up dates thank you for all you do
