I found a grave listing where there are no bodies.

In South Dakota, someone listed the Slim Buttes Monument, which has three grave stones as a cemetery, but there are no bodies, and the American Indian listed is definitely not there.

The soldiers were buried there, but as the army left the Indians dug them up and totally chopped them up and even crushed the bones to splinters, and spread the remains to the winds.

The three soldiers listed were the ones, plus Lt. Von Ludwick's amputated leg, also buried there.

American Horse was shot in the stomach and died in the battle but all Indian dead were carried off, some being buried in the bank of Rabbit Creek, but NOT at the memorial.

How do I relay the actual history to the right people, no one is listed as creating the cemetery listing.

Hello Ancestral Sleuth...Having family history in TN I couldn't resist having a go at the history of Bettie when I noticed your photo request. Hope you don't mind...I would take the photo myself but am having sm health issue this week keeping me housebound. Here is what I found...hope you can use some of it. Bettie Jean is buried under name of Simpson in Sec 37E Site 241. Her dates on headstone are different than those on Legacy (b.12-3-1935) (d.7-24-2008)making tracking a little more difficult. Husband at burial time was Reed C Simpson, SN US NAVY, KOREA (b1931-d2007. I'm sure Larry will pick up your request and you can verify most info. Best Wishes from a fellow graver and sleuth. ps.if you will add the above sec.# to the request it will really help Larry if he is the one to claim......Roberta

Find a grave photo request
As part of my Eagle Scout Project I am fulfilling photo requests around Northern Virginia. I would like to fulfill your photo request for the person you listed for National Memorial Park, but I've already asked them to look up the locations of many people there. If you would be willing to call the cemetery (703-560-4400) and ask for the plot information on your request and relay that information to me today, Wednesday, or Thursday, we will go fulfill your request this Friday.

Betty Jean Simpson Mock
Hi there, You have added Carl Floyd Mock as her spouse, which is incorrect. This added her as a spouse on his find-a-grave page, which is incorrect. I read the blurb you wrote about her and it says her spouse's name was Carl FRANCIS Mock. Please correct this. Thank you,
Lesa Mock (Carl Floyd Mock's daughter-in-law)

Eugene Royal Beckham Sr.
Hi Ancestral Sleuth,

I'm somewhat new to family history, but I was wondering if you might possibly have a picture of Eugene Royal Beckham Sr. I am his descendant through his son Hugh Kent Beckham and I can't find a picture of him. I have a picture of my grandfather Hugh, of my great great grandfather John Cookson Beckham and a picture of my great great great grandfather, Lewis Benjamin Beckham, and would like to fill in the missing gap of my great grandfather Eugene Royal Beckham Senior. I'm just hoping that you just might have one by some crazy chance :-) Thank you!
