We enjoy researching our family history. Scott's father's side are Pearce/Tant/Perry/Medlin from Franklin County, NC we have traced his family back over 260 years in Franklin County. His mother's side is Champion/Roberson/Coghill/Jones/Stanton from Vance County, NC and I'm Clark/Jones/Stevens/White from Charleston/Pecks Mill, WV. We started on ancestry.com in 2001 and are now in the process of making sure everything is on findagrave.com. We will gladly help anybody whenever we can. It is exciting to be able to help somebody find a headstone that they are looking for. We really enjoy the history that each cemetery provides us when we walk through.|

For #96743038 Gloves, Emily Carlyle the last name should be Glover, she was married to Caswell Glover in 1861 I believe he died in the Civil War. Thanks.

On memorial #48949290 Shelby Andell Martin and memorial #48949286 MaFoye Atlas Martin will you please correct the caption to reflect that these were brothers. Thanks for all you do !!
|Bob Carter||RE: JOHNSON in Franklin County|
Thanks for the reply!
I'm not related to any of them but a friend of mine who is 85 here in Greensboro is from Franklin County and am trying to help her trace her ancestral roots. She was a PERRY by birth (daughter of William Henry Perry and Maggie Privett) and as I've helped her I've found they connect to the JOHNSON and PEARCE lines too.
Really appreciate what you've posted on Find A Grave and it's sad to see the PEARCE graves are no longer visible. I volunteer to find old cemeteries here in Surry County, NC and can empathize with you and others about the loss of graves. We've come across cemeteries which were changed over the years to just fields, and in one case, a school. :-) I remember reading about farmers in the 1800s who stacked grave markers in a corner of a field so they could plow and get a crop.
|Angela O||Willie Champion|
Hello, My name is Angela. I have been trying to find out what happen to Lillie Davis Champion and her husband Willie Champion. Lillie is my Great Grandmothers MOM!! I just found out that there was another son Willie born in 1902 to them and that is the year I cant find anymore info. Eva "great grandmother" and her brother Thomas was placed in the Oxford Children's Home in 1903. I am hoping to get more info on what happen to them. My Grandpa's name was Charles Champion Snead, Lillie was his Grandmother.
My email is email@example.com I would love to connect with you.
