A longtime interest in genealogy and cemeteries paired with a fascination (alright, obsession) with local history brought me to Find A Grave. Wandering around cemeteries, researching and connecting the dots are the best aspects of genealogy for me. I'm also drawn to the design and typography of headstones--faux bois and Art Nouveau styles are my favorites. And sometimes a stone with the light hitting it just right demands to have its picture taken.|
All information I've posted is in the public domain (and some sources have wrong data), but if you'd like to have it removed or changed--or if I've made a wrong intuitive leap, please let me know. Likewise, feel free to contact me to have a relative transferred. Please show me the courtesy of letting me know that you would like to reuse one of my photos. Unhelpful messages from people without a F-A-G account will not be responded to.

OMG! That's terrible! That poor family. I hope they caught whoever did it!
Belle and George were also transferred to your care. Warm Regards, Stacey

I declined the change because you requested to change the middle initial to "unknown", although marker shows middle initial "B". Even though it is common practice, I won't assume middle initial is Elsie's maiden name. Have added Elsie's maiden name and photo of headstone.

Hi. Yes, James and Eliza Taylor are buried in same plot as James Barclay. I believe his parents, James and Mary Eliza Barclay, are the ones buried in Kentucky. It appears James and Eliza Taylor are his maternal g'parents...? At least Eliza's (#30106815) obit states a daughter to be Mary Taylor Barclay. Hope that makes sense!

Thank you again.

May I use photographs of different cemeteries that you have posted on my family tree? I try to allow all family members to see where their ancestors are buried. Thank you for your time.

Hello Debbie B,
Marjorie de Poel Vander Kamp was my great-aunt by her 2nd marriage to my great-uncle, William Vander Kamp. I would like to have her memorial transferred to me, please.

I walked through this entire cemetery and photographed ever headstone. I am putting in any missing photos today.
There are a few stones that are unreadable.
A couple that have fallen down and were much too heavy to turn over.
CAN I SUGGEST looking at the main page of the cemetery the white sign has an address to write to ( I added to this msg )
MAYBE they could help you. Unfortunately there is no other way to contact them that I am aware of.

GOOD LUCK & if they can tell you something about where the grave is located or if it even has a headstone at all.
Put in another request or email me & I would be happy to try and find it. I am not far from the cemetery at all.

|BjJ||RE: James and Eliza Taylor photo request|
You're welcome. I know people are disappointed with finding no gravestone but I don't like a photo request languishing forever, so I do what I can. Thanks for your note; appreciate it!
