Bio and Links
Bio Photo A longtime interest in genealogy and cemeteries paired with a fascination (alright, obsession) with local history brought me to Find A Grave. Wandering around cemeteries, researching and connecting the dots are the best aspects of genealogy for me. I'm also drawn to the design and typography of headstones--faux bois and Art Nouveau styles are my favorites. And sometimes a stone with the light hitting it just right demands to have its picture taken.

RE: Henrietta Pflug Staats
Well, I'm going to have to say you're right on that. I've had the Staats in my tree for years, but I believe that's wrong. Thanks for letting me know! I need to consult with my cousin who also works on the tree, and see if he knows what line those Pflugs are. I don't have a Dorothea Helling in my program, so Henriette must not be related. Good that you checked!! Thanks for the info!

Hmmm. I"m not sure what to make of that. Can you send me the link for her on line death certificate? Maybe we have two different people?

RE: Harry B. and Etta Mae Hazen
Hi Debbie! Sorry, I don't remember what your connection was to the Hazens and you may not even have one to Harry and Etta. When I saw their headstone, I remembered those photo requests and just assumed they were related and transferred them. If they're not, and you want to transfer them back, that's fine too. Either way...

RE: Tysons and Roberts
Its always great to find them. I will be going back though. My phone died, wind was blowing and it was looking stormy.

Deb, you're correct. Please deny the request. I found the above parents and will send another request this evening. Thank you, Dave Jindrich

Debbie, I hope to find more answers to my great grandfather's brothers hyman and jacob brownstein in 2015. My great grandfather(joseph brownstein of komitz russia or kamenets poeolsky) fortunately mentioned his brothers jacob and hyman in his 1926 obit and therefore my search for new answers begins. Thanks again and I wish you well karen

RE: Priscilla Whipple
Debbie, I am still working on this, have a couple resources I won't have time to check for a few days. I did look at the marriage record - Castleton VT - James was a resident of Worcester Mass at the time, she of VT, but no parents for the wife. The name on the record is Harriet J. Naromore. I found a Harriet who would fit the bill from VT but will try and research a little more later in the week. I think? the name Durang came from the middle name of the son Arthur, often those would be the middle names of children but not sure in this case. I have seen his record and verify Durang to be his middle name but I don't have parents names on that record. Weldon Whipple's website is a good resource and they indicate the other child d as an infant. Will talk later, thanks again, Beverly

RE: Priscilla Whipple
Thanks so much for the quick transfer.

I will get back to you tomorrow on what I have for James T. Whipple. Off the top of my head I believe there is a discrepancy on the name of his wife due to the marriage record being Naromore and the name on the son's record Durang. I will look at my notes and get back to you. Thanks again, Beverly
