|Bio and Links|
More than two decades ago my mother showed me a notebook she used when she was in high school to record some family history. I've been working on our genealogy ever since. Most of my research involves French Canadian and New England families, as well as my husband's Ohio German and Ukrainian roots.|
I love the opportunity that Find A Grave offers for helping others find the missing pieces of their family "puzzles".
Santa Fe National Cemetery: Many thanks to Katrina, who has taken over as curator of the International Wargraves account. With her help I have moved almost 4000 erroneous memorials for veterans who are actually buried elsewhere, and they have removed another 1000 plus duplicates associated with the same original bad uploads. HOWEVER there are still lots of bad memorials listed for Santa Fe. Some are inadvertent duplicates, but most are deliberate errors perpetrated by volunteers who repeatedly violate Find A Grave guidelines prohibiting memorials for living spouses as well as memorials added simply because the person served in the military. If the person is not listed in the Santa Fe National section of the VA's Gravesite Locator at
http://gravelocator.cem.va.gov/ then they are probably NOT buried at SFNC.
Please feel free to use any photo I have taken in on-line or personal family trees. It would be nice if you would credit me for the photo.
If a memorial I have added is a family member of yours, I am happy to transfer management. I will also usually transfer out of FAG guidelines if there is a good reason. I am happy to receive edits but please do not ask me to post obituaries unless you wrote them, hold the copyright, or have explicit permission from the writer. This is against Find A Grave policies. Feel free to write a bio yourself paraphrasing the information, but I will remove references to living individuals in most cases for privacy reasons.
Please use the edit tab for corrections and transfer requests, it heads off a lot of potential problems.
PLEASE - No drama.

Thank you so very much for your quick response to my marker photo request for him. He served in WWII with my husband and I am glad he will have his marker on his memorial in time for Memorial Day.
Thank you for being a Marker Photo volunteer, your work is appreciated.

I noticed that Virgilio Luciano Michele Bertola is shown as both the father and the son in this family. Virgilio does not have a son named Virgilio. Could you remove him as the child, but not as the father. Thank You.

|Joe Makowiec||Weiderwax / Wetherwax, Albany Rural|
I checked out your Weiderwax / Wetherwax plot in Section 100 of Albany Rural Cemetery. There are two stones in the plot - Elam Wetherwax, who already has a grave photo, and another large stone which is face down.
I have a picture of the face-down stone if you'd like it.
The GPS coordinates for the We(id|th)erwax plot are 42.704544; -73.733580.
Sorry there's not much else I can do with this until the stone is put upright. If you want, you can search at the cemetery's site (http://albanyruralcemetery.org/), where both variants are listed (as well as Weatherwax...)
