RE: re Steinbaugh
Hello - you sent me on an interesting search now. I could not locate a headstone for Laura Steinbaugh at Woodlawn, the section she is buried in had no stone for her. I was dismayed at the lack of headstones since most of the people buried in that section passed in the 1940's. They had the gave numbers written in an old big book but no mapping in which to locate them. It was just an area of sunken in graves. When I go back I will look up her son Elmer. I did find this information out (not sure if you are family to him) I found his West Virgina marriage license to Grace Stinebaugh. Interesting because she had basically the same last name only spelled differently. For some reason this spelling was transferred to him. I found them on the 1940 US Census in which their childrens ages show that she must of been married prior - or that they had all these children out of wedlock which is why they went to West Virginia to get married instead of Aliquippa where he lived - they both were born in McKeesport, PA. Anyway I like trying to figure out what might have happened. Here are the links to the pages I found.http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_view2.aspx?FilmNumber=871003&ImageNumber=565 and https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1971-27803-1864-43?cc=2000219 I hope they open for you to see.

Thanks for writing - Karen

Thanks for the inquiry but I can't help you at all. I don't know any of those names. I guess we Hirsts' are a different line.
