Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a born and bred native of Keya Paha County, Nebraska. Much of my family homesteaded here before 1900. I arrived in 1952 when I was born. I have lived here all my life and continue to enjoy the quiet life in Keya Paha County with my husband, Mike. We have four children who have now left the nest and are periodically adding to the family tree with children of their own.

A few years ago I became interested in genealogy and began to research my family history. Much of the research was done online where I discovered the value of online cemetery transcriptions. I also discovered that Keya Paha County had almost no online information about its cemeteries. Since then I have attempted to transcribe and put online the information from Keya Paha County. If you discover errors in my work, please feel free to contact me via email with the correct information.

Thank you so much for the headstone photos of the Carlsons. This is my sister-in-law's ancestors and we have been wanting to know if the graves were marked.

Lost Creek Cemetery
Hi Sandy--
I saw your photo of Lost Creek Cemetery and wondered if you could help me find it on a map. I followed the driving instructions on the Nebraska GenWeb page which led me to a cemetery labeled Heerton Cemetery. Do you know if Lost Creek Cemetery and Heerton are the same cemetery?
Thanks!
Tracey

Lula Betts Memorial # 49746331
Sandi, Do you know what the Nez means on this tombstone or why there are two spellings of Betts? Thanks, Teresa

Re: Chester Mckinney photo and transfer
Hi Sandi...To thank you for the photo and transfer of Chester McKinney to us ... now we can link him with his parents so he is not alone out there with no connections to family members.

McKenzie children
I'd like to get permission to use the picture of Mona & Charles McKenzie's childrens' stone. The one I'm looking at is Clyde McKenzie #57778156.
I will give the credit to you.
Thank you so much for the work you do for us who are unable to get to the cemeteries ourselves. It is truly appreciated.

PETTIT Descendants
They you so VERY much for all the time and effort you have put in on FIND A GRAVE. I am a PETTIT family researcher and I truly appreciate the obits I have found that you have put online. They tell the story of families and how they lived.
