RE: Chas. Pike
I will take another look at my notes I made when I came to the conclusion that the 1848 Charles was probably your 1861 Charles. I only made the connection through the address 717 Maywood found on Chas.' death certificate and the address that Isabelle and her two daughters lived at in the 1910 Census. These entries are from the Toledo City Directory: 1904 & 1905, Charles Pike lvd @ 717 Maywood; 1906 Belle Pike (wid. Charles H.) 717 Maywood Chas. H (aged 57) d. Feb.20, 1906; 1907 Belle Pike, wid. Chas. H, 717 Maywood; 1910 Census Isabelle enumerated as 'Isabelle Rita' 717 Maywood, daughters Blanche & Florence. 1911 Toledo Directory: Isabelle, wid. Chas. H.

Yes, lots of mistakes occur in old handwritten records. The 1848 Chas. Pike's d.c. did not give a specific birth date, only an age. He may not have known his birth date, or his mother's name. Age had no importance back then. There was no need to know. He may well have been born in 1861.
Where did you get the 1861 birth date when you first created the memorial?

Chas. Pike
I have added the 1848 birth date headstone of Charles Pike to his memorial that you created, and have deleted the memorial I had created for him. I don't want credit, I was just puzzled about the differences in birth dates. The Chas. Pike who was stated to be a physician moved to Detroit, Wayne Co, MI per 1898 Toledo City Directory. But then he reappears in the 1900 census. Glad to help! sjmohr

Chas. H. Pike Headstone Photo
Last week I photographed a headstone for Charles Pike in Sec-C6, Lot 13, Grave #880. I created a memorial page for him (#156888604), as his birth date was 1848, and you had created a memorial for Charles Pike who you stated was born in 1861. The Charles Pike, b. 1848, was an electrician/laborer, but was married to a Belle Pike. Belle Pike is listed in the 1906 Toledo directory as widow of Charles H. Pike who is stated to have died on Feb. 20, 1906. She lived at 717 Maywood St. from 1906-1911. In the 1910 Toledo Census, she is enumerated as Isabelle Rita, living w/ daus. Blanche & Florence on 717 Maywood St. I think this headstone is the husband of your relative, Isabelle A. Fleagle-Fett. Death Cert for Charles Pike is on FamilySearch.org.
