Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started researching my family's history after my father died in 1995. When looking around the cemetery, I realized how little I knew of my ancestors. I was concerned about how much information would be lost if another generation passed. I am still searching so if you are related to a person that I have entered we could be cousins.

Johnnie L Sloan
Eddie, I got this message from a lady from Ancestry.com. I had Johnnie Sloan name in my tree for the Jones IOOF Cemetery. I do not know Johnnie but thought you might and if you were interested in providing her with a picture or if you knew someone who could. Just thought I would pass it on to someone who might be able to help her. Alison Land

The "Oklahoman" page 2A, May 30, 2016 ran a story on the Vietnam Veterans org and a woman trying to find a photo of each person killed in Vietnam.Johnnie L. Sloan's name was listed. If you have or know of anyone who has a photo of this brave young man could you please share information with Janna Hoehn, the researcher, at neverforgotten2014@gmail.com or see www.vvmf.org/faces-never-forgotten.
Thanks, Paula Denson, an Ancestry family researcher

Alma F Nelson Dean

I would guess you know something about the Dean
Family as Alma's memorial has some info about
Albert cutting ties for the railroad. At least
two of her children were born in or near Lucas
AR which is 6 miles SW OF Barber AR which is 12
miles SW of Boonville AR. All four were born
1906 and 1913. Alma died in 1917 of TB. Her
second child, Elmer, appears to have died in
Sept 1956 and is buried in Beggs cemetery along
with his father (see memorial # 90218992 along
with # 89884629) who died in April 1956. However
there is some doubt about Elmer's name. Do you
know if it was Elmer Monroe Dean or Elmer Charles
Dean ? Also do you know if Alma was a patient at
Booneville State Sanatorium as it was open at
that time ? Pine Log Cemetery is just "down the
Road a piece" . My guess is they lived on a
farm between Lucas & Barber. The railroad that
came through Booneville at that time was the
CRI&P (Rock ISLAND) and they paid a premium for
"hand hewed ties" as they would last longer
than a "milled tie". Albert must have been one
"tough hombre"to cut ties to make a living. A
little history to add to the Dean Family Story
Thanks for all your volunteer work and photos

Carrie M. Cox Warren
Hi, I was researching the McInturf clan and found a great uncle's daughter married a Cox. I have spent many hours on the Cox family in order to find the McInturf I was looking for.

Anyway, I strongly believe Carrie's (memorial #14843267)given name at birth was Itaska Caroline Martha. Itaska was born 2/14/1887 in AR to Houston L.(memorial #40770494) and Nancy Ann (memorial #51208277) Cox. She married Samuel Crawford Warren in Logan County, AR on 8/6/06.

If Carrie was Itaska, I thought you might want to add her given name in her bio and link her to her mother and father.

Just wanted to share - thank you.

Carolyn
