Hello to all and thank you for stopping by my profile page at find a grave. My name is Elizabeth but I prefer to go by Beth. I Love my family and family history. Right now I'm a full time nursing student and when class is in, I don't have the time to work on genealogy like I would like to.|
I have met up with quite a lot of my cousins thanks to find a grave.
I was the 3rd of three children born to Mickey Green and Brinda Louise Shields in California. We lived most of my life in Ceres, Ca. then moving to Sonora, Ca. my freshman year of high school, graduating from Sonora Union High School.
We moved several times to different parts of Missouri and back to California. I have become tired of trucks with the name U-Haul on them. Our family made our final move in 1989 to Joplin, Jasper County, Mo., and still live in Southwest Mo., in a small town called Carterville, a part of the Joplin, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area.
My father was born in Edna, Creek County, Oklahoma. He was the seventh child of seven born to Albert Green and Mary Brummett.
One of the best things that has happened to our family since I started using Find A Grave is that I was able to located my Grandfather Albert Green twin sister's family. I started looking for her and ran across Cary Grant (#46997066) the Grandson of my Great Aunt Mary Stanley. I feel so blessed.
My mother was born in St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri. She was third child of four born to Silas Shields and Opal Nelson.
What I love the most about living in this area is that my Grandmother, Opal Nelson and Grandfather Silas Shields were married in Jasper County, Carthage, Missouri, and I have found some of my Langley familyhere.
My Grandmother Opal Nelson married a second time to Vernon Henson, they had a son Dean Franklin Henson and they adopted a son, Danny Henson.
Both of my biological grandfather's passed away before my birth. Vernon became a wonderful grandfather and Dad to all Opal's kids. I am thankful to of had Vernon as my Grandfather, he give me the love of a Grandfather and his knowledge of life. Sometimes blood don't make you family.
My family surnames:
MY DAD'S SIDE: His father side: Green, Cochran, Walker.
His mother's side: Brummett, Wilson/Willson, Smith, Bays/Bayes
MY MOM'S SIDE: Her father's side: Shields, Langley, Nalley/Nally
Her mother's side: Nelson, Dickinson, Gray, Rye, Jefferys, Borden, Blizzard, Meadows
To those of you, if by chance I have a family memorial that belongs to you please ask for a transfer. I will gladly transfer non-direct memorials. - Family should be with family!
Per the Find-A-Grave policy: "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents."
Have a wonderful day!

I do not give permission to any website(s), the use any of my personal family pictures that I have added.
Just a note of my thoughts to all my fellow genealogist and family researchers!
I do not wish to under any circumstances ever want to offend any of you, my intentions are to research my family line.
Lately I have been searching Mo. death certificates hoping to find information that will lead me to find my heritage. As I have been searching I started looking up the names on find a grave and I have ran across some without memorials and I have added them, I do not wish for any person to be forgotten or lost to other researchers.
I have also ran across memorials that did not have information on them such as place of birth, spouses names or parents names. Some of the certificates also have the states the parents were born in.
To the MANAGERS of these memorials and FAMILY members - Please take in consideration that the "Informant" on the death certificates is a valuable source for information too, such as for example a member of the family, and often their place of residence is listed. The information on death certificates such as, the persons place of residence, place of birth and death as-well parents place of birth gives family researchers information on where to search next.
I have used the edit button and added information and used the suggestion button sharing this information to be added, along with the web-address for manager of the memorial to see as well. I have been able to find their spouses and have been able to link them. I also have added the information to flowers so that the information may not be lost BECAUSE I have seen that some of the managers have not bothered to add the valuable information to the memorial. I feel that my effort should not be lost to those who are looking for their family history, and I hope that it help others along they're journey.
- God Bless.

I created the memorial and added a flower. I am not related to Elizabeth.

Her maiden name was Maher, and I submitted an edit regarding that and I added the photo to her memorial. We're glad we could locate the photos for you!

No, I walked the cemetery taking photos and adding it to memorials that didn't have photos. That photo is actually on the headstone. If you write LBruns and just say you are the granddaughter she probably will transfer the memorial to you. Use the edit tab and use the bottom option; suggest any other correction or action. Be sure to give your Find A Grave contributor number in your message. Take care, God bless.

I have added the photo to her memorial and to her husband's. I also sent an edit to link them to their daughter, Nora E. Cochran Emerick. They are buried just to the south of Nora.
