A longtime interest in genealogy and cemeteries paired with a fascination (alright, obsession) with local history brought me to Find A Grave. Wandering around cemeteries, researching and connecting the dots are the best aspects of genealogy for me. I'm also drawn to the design and typography of headstones--faux bois and Art Nouveau styles are my favorites. And sometimes a stone with the light hitting it just right demands to have its picture taken.|
All information I've posted is in the public domain or has been submitted by another member (and some sources have wrong data), but if you'd like to have it removed or changed--or if I've made a wrong intuitive leap, please let me know. Likewise, feel free to contact me to have a relative transferred. If you reuse one of my photos, I would love to hear from you, but in any case, please attribute it. Unhelpful messages from people without a F-A-G account will not be responded to.

Marguerite was not listed on the burial index and I looked for her name when I took Timothy's photo but he was the only Cummins. Judy

Thank you for sending the obit on her. I have added it to her memorial.

Thank you for the transfers.

I know or sure Fred is one of my cousins, but out of respect my father had us call him "uncle". I don't remember him, but I do his wife.
Since I live in Arizona, what is involved in "care". If I can do this from out of state, that would be great. I am currently helping my friend who is dying of brain cancer & am in the south suburbs of Chicago (I am an RN and since she needs 24 hour care, I accepted her request to be with her till she dies). Feel free to write to me at my e mail address of: firstname.lastname@example.org. My cell number is 480-280-0067.
I have been working on my father's side & keep running into road blocks. With your entry, it has helped me greatly; I can't thank you enough.
I am hoping I will be able to have a little time off so I can visit their graves.
Sincerely, BJ Sunter Kevan

Wilhelmina and John Benn are my great grandparents (on my father's side). The Elizabeth Sunter mentioned is my grandmother. Wilhelmina WAS a midwife in Illinois. She delivered Elizabeth's three children, Edward, Gertrude & Charles (Charles was my father). I am curious how/why she was in Michigan. Thank you very much for all your
work, time & energy.
I will continue to work on it. My husband's great-grandmother was a Wixon; I have been working on connecting the family members for a few years on and off.
Thanks for contacting me...always willing to make changes or transfer. Have a beautiful day. Lisa

Now I am confused. I am not closely related to her, but I think that you are on to something. I am willing to transfer to you so that you can "solve" the mystery. Ha! Let me know what you want to do....thanks. Lisa

Also, what a nice man that was at the cemetery!

Fabulous, Debbie!! I was thinking since her husband died so much earlier, and her son was at All Saints, that perhaps she was there too. I was going to ask if you checked there---so thrilled that you found her!
I know what a wonderful feeling that is. Our hardest fought battles often bring the sweetest victories!
I also thought perhaps her name had been misspelled on her death record. I found a similar name, but wrong dates, sao I created memorials for that lady & her parents...

I did a pretty good search for her, nada---yet! But I'm still trying. Also, if you'd like any of these memorials transferred, I'm happy to do so.
