"A neglected grave is a shameful thing." Quoted from an episode of "The Waltons." |
I discovered Find A Grave as a stay-at-home Mom a few months after the birth of my son. I was surfing the Web when I came across the site. One of the most meaningful things about Find A Grave for me is to be able to "visit" my Grandpa Joseph Randazzo's grave as often as I like, as well as the graves of my grandparents Harold Logan and Lillian Logan and also my Cat Cocoa. Most important is the grave of my father's sister Sandra Louise Logan. She died at the age of 4 as a victim of the July 6, 1944 Hartford Circus Fire. Please leave her a memorial if you have time, she has always remained in my heart even though she died 33 years before I was born. I also can "visit" the grave of the woman whom I will always think of as my second Mom, Patricia Crossway, who is the Mom of my two best friends. She is a wonderful woman and we all miss her so much. Please leave her a flower (her favorite were pansies!) if you get a chance.

|E B Holmberg||RE: George Tillbrook marker-Pine Grove Cemetery, Middletown|
If you search for Peter Miller at www.pinegrovecemetery.org you can request they take a picture to upload to their site. I found that Scott, the website director, was very helpful when verifying if a couple of family members were in fact buried there. He could also then possibly verify if Lucy Tillbrook has a marker.

While I was at Pine Grove Cemetery in Middletown the other day, I think I was in the right area for Peter Miller but was unable to locate his grave. I will try again if no one else has posted a picture the next time I'm in Middletown.

Glad I could help. I'm from Marlborough and I remember my kids attending the DARE presentations while in grade school. It was a great program. Sorry to see that Richard passed so young.

You are very welcome. I took photos showing other family members on the marker or on that plot. I've entered Hilda's already and will be entering the children soon, in case you are interested in them. Thanks.

Thank you for making this online memorial for the Hartford Circus Fire. I was about to start making some, but i see you have already done that.

You are very welcome! It's just so sad that she died in such a tragic way... and even more sad that her mother blamed herself so! I'm glad you have a memento of Sandra (her chair). I treasure such things in my family.
Thank you for sharing Sandra and Lillian with us.

I Found Emanuele Randazzo and His wife Rose In
Saint Sebastian Cemetery. I found The infant also. Youe Memorial shows 1949 as his year of Death, But his stone clearly Show 1948, You may want to change that. I did not look for foot stones, but will when I go Back

Hi Stephanie. You left a flower for someone I believe may be my uncle who died during WWII at Anzio. I know your grandfather was also Joseph Randazzo. Are you related to this one buried in Italy?

Your so welcome for the headstone photo for Anna Dunaj. I've also added the photos for the other family members buried there.
