I was glad I found this site. This is great to be able to essentially preserve headstones that are in bad shape and about to weather away or due to damage. I love going to old cemeteries when I am out of town for extended periods of time. Gives me something to do on week-ends, keeps me out of trouble and if I am having a bad day I know that no one is going to talk back at me while I am there. If so I will not be going back. Digital camera's are so great for this type of enjoyment. I just think that it is wonderful to have names and dates in your records, but a picture just tops it off, like whipped cream on pumpkin pie. I have a long way to go with this and just hope I keep waking up on the right side of the grass to help me get there. I hope what I do puts a smile on someone's face. A random act of kindness is contagious, help spread it around.|

Firstly I would like to say thank you for your service to the fallen veterans. I also thank you for taking the time to photograph Jasper Newton's headstone in the Marietta, Georgia Confederate Cemetery.
Jasper Newton was my 2nd Great Grand Uncle and he died at the Soldier's Home on Confederate Avenue in Atlanta, Georgia in 1923. He served with his brother Alfred throughout the Civil War in the Army of Northern Virginia and was among those who surrendered at Appomattox in 1865.
I would appreciate it if you would be so kind to transfer his memorial to me. My member number is 47460631. My intention is to attach pictures, his obit as well link him on Find A Grave to his brother (who is buried at Kemp Cemetery also in Marietta) and other family members.
Again thank you for all that you do in support of this nation and those who have served it.
