Mt Zion Church Cemetery
Bob Saunders was able to find the correct cemetery:

Mt. Zion Road
Hamden
Vinton County
Ohio USA
Postal Code: 45634

He photographed all of the names you found years ago. They were still there! He also found many more!

Thanks!

Hope all is well with you.

Zion cemetery confusion.
I was told this might be Mt. Zion church cemetery in Richland twp, since this is twp where the Wyckoff cemetery is, but none of these graves were found there either. Do you know which one this is? Can't find one in Harrison. Is it the one in Hamden??

Samuel and Elizabeth are buried at Mt Zion Church cem. in Harrison twp. Vinton Co. Here's what I have:

The next two cemetaries Wyckoff and Martindill are both within a mile or two of Mt. Zion. Wyckoff cem. was on the old Wycoff farm, but has few if any Wyckoff's in it. The Early Remy/Ramey's are there however. Samuel's father Samuel Wyckoff was a Vet. of the Revolutionary War. There is a lot of info out there about the Wyckoff's. If you need more I can send it. Samuel's (Jr) sister Mary married Joshua Speakman who was my ggg grandfather.
I will try to get some photos of Mt. Zion next time I go down. I do have photos of Wyckoff, Martindill and Pike Run on the old Speakman farm where Samuel and Maria are buried.
Hope this helps and keep in touch!

Jacob Overly #17947631
Hi Byron,

I have some information and questions for you about your memorial to Jacob Overly.

Eva Nagel was his mother not his wife. See my entry for Eva #13880798.

I believe his father Bostain's first wife and mother of Jacob was an Anna Margaretta and that they were married May 5, 1817. If you have any documents here I would be most grateful.

If you will please link him to his mom and dad that would be most helpful.

Eva Nagel (above)

Thanks much and any information about the family would be appreciated. I have just found and posted some new information about Eva and her husband Martin which you can follow on Eva's memorial.

Regards,
Ron Overley
