Thank you for you suggested updates to our cousin's memorial. I have posted the updated bio info noting that you created a second memorial today for Harvey listing him as lost at sea. I don't think Find A Grave really approves of duplicate listings for person, although I don't know what the correct etiquette would be in a case such as this.
Again, thank you for the additional details and for helping others with keeping memories alive and honoring our military.

John. I am fairly new to Find-A-Grave but now have looked around a bit more and really appreciate what you have done with your military virtual memorials/virtual cemetery. I am currently in the Army and think this is a great way to not only memorialize but also track those from various events, dates, ships, etc. Appreciate all you do and I am glad I was able to add one to your memorial. Doug

Hello John Dowdy
I found your listing of the R.P. Resor which had a great description of the attack form the U-boat and the listed of the MIA/KIA. I came across a tombstone of one of those KIA in a cemetery in Pennsylvania. I am unsure if the name on your list can be linked or not but the find-a-grave memorial info is: Carl M. Recio

Find A Grave Memorial# 140001530
St. Joseph's Cemetery in Throop, Pennsylvania
I have added your write up of the ship incident to his memorial.
I am not related that I know of but have several hundred relatives at this cemetery and have taken pictures of every tombstone at this cemetery. It is primarily a Lithuanian Parish Cemetery for St. Joseph's and St. Michaels parishes in Scranton, PA.
Thanks, Doug Dudewicz

Holy Cross is HUGE. Impossible to locate a grave without the Burial Plot. Please call the TOLL FREE Phone: (888) 919-7926. Ask for Burial Plot. It is a TOLL FREE call. Please. Volunteers need the Grave Location. The Office will NOT allow us to ask for more than 2. There are over 45 without the Burial Plot.

We'll have to see in the spring when we get a photo of the grave down in Steele County. Otherwise all John Shaw's in national Archives are accounted for.

Thanks for the reply, John. If you're not related to Sarah, I guess I have a better chance of being related. Go ahead and transfer her memorial, if you wish. I'll take good care of her.

I'm sure his obit was on there. I will have to check and see if anyone else in the family remembers. At this time I do not want to manage it.
