Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm retired and have nine grandchildren who I spend a lot of time with. One of my interests is connecting with people overseas on the internet who will visit war graves and take photos for family members who are unable to go there themselves.

Sgt Axel Peter Pearson
Hi Margaret,
I was doing some ancestry work yesterday and found out that I have a cousin (1x removed) on my father's side that I knew nothing about. As I entered his name in my Ancestry file a "hint" came up that led me to war records and I found out that he was killed in action in France on August 18, 1944.
There was no picture of his grave available so I thought I would try this site as I know that you and others do a wonderful job of creating sites for the war dead. Sure enough I found him here and noticed that the site was created by you and I can't thank you enough. Would you be so kind to transfer ownership to myself. This is the link to his gravesite:

Thank you again,

Hi Margaret

Thank you for adding the info
It looks great.

If you have more memorials in that area you may hear from me again as I have a long list of names from the folks who created the Bomber Country Aviation Resource site, which is all about RAF in Lincolnshire during WWII

Hi Margaret
I was out with my dad the other day and he was telling me about norman william barbeau plane crash which was very near his house. He said he was helping put out the fire by people passing buckets to each other. The tree he hit is still growing today. Not sure if that any help but when my dad told me about it. It was so nice to hear :)

RE: NS Agnes W Wilkie
Nursing Sister Agnes W Wilkie was my Aunt and was returning to St John's Newfoundland from her leave. I was only one year old so do not remember her, but my family passed along comments on her gentle and quiet disposition as well as her compassion in assisting the wounded from war effort.
It is my pleasure to grant you and your group access to this photo of NS Agnes Wilkie.
You may be aware, that her companion that tragic night, Margaret E Brooke, celebrated her 100th Birthday this spring and is living in Victoria BC. The Federal Government has commissioned one of the new Arctic Patrol Ships to honour her heroic efforts following the sinking of the Caribou.
Thank you once again for providing this recognition for Agnes Wilkie and it is deeply appreciated by myself and the Wilkie family.

NS Agnes W Wilkie
Thank you Margaret Rose for your expression of sympathy for Nursing Sister Agnes Wilkie. I placed a picture of Agnes on the site, in full Naval Dress this date. Many families have lost their loved ones, but they will never be forgotten.

Private C. W. Yell
Dear Margaret Rose,

on September 5, 2015 you left a poppy at Private C. W. Yell's grave in Vevey, Switzerland. I have now added a picture to this name.

Have a good Remembrance Day!

Robert

RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 124055805
Hello,

You are welcome. My wife comes across many interesting bits of information, which I then either post or convey. By the way, I just noticed a typo: The newspaper reference should read Gaspe, not Gasp.

Best wishes
Alf
