I rarely access this site, but I contributed many hundreds of famous listings and bios for over 10 years. And, as is the case when so much information is added, I made mistakes. I will not however make any changes to mistakes as I simply do not have the time nor do I log-in to my account very often, please contact findagrave directly in order for such changes to be made.|
Please note I have many requests to use my images in books, novels etc. I no longer allow my images to be used for free. If you wish to use my images please contact me via email, thanks.

|Michael Webb||SHAPURJI SAKLATVALA|
Having read his article in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, Volume 48 (2004), I would like to pass on that his ashes were subsequently buried at Brookwood Cemetery, Woking, in the Parsi burial ground there.
The ODNB does not mention the cremation, but I recall an anecdote about it from a biography of Rudyard Kipling. Saklatvala's cremation took place immediately before Kipling's. The latter's arrived at the crematorium, hearing the strains of "The Red Flag" coming from the chapel. (The two men could not have been less alike with Kipling the apologist of the British Empire and Saklatvala the Communist who called for Indian independence!)
Would it be possible for you to update Jock Stein's memorial page.
Birth : 5th October, 1922

May I copy your photos of William Lamb? He is my great grandfather back eight generations. You will get the credit, but I always like to ask first.
|David Sharp||Wrong transfer|
Hi, I hit a wrong number somehow and transferred a memorial to you my mistake. The memorial is for Emmett Epping and his number is 92813727. If you could, transfer it to Mary Margaret Haney, #48115925. Sorry for the goof up, was in to big of a hurry and didn't confirm name as I hit the button. Thanks so much David Sharp
|kevin wood||Sir Nigel Gresley grave|
I'd like to use one of your photographs that you took of Sir Nigel Gresley's grave.I looked for his grave in the churchyard today but as I found out when I got back home, that there is an extension to the graveyard I missed.So that is the reason for needing a photograph of his grave.
I will pay for the use of the photograph,if not to expensive.It is to put on my page about Sir Nigel Gresley. On my site www.derbyshireblueplaques.co.uk
As you will see I have taken all but two of the photographs of the blue plaques as well as others.
|Dorothy Willis||Michael Williams|
Michael Williams is buried in the churchyard of St. Leonard's church in Charlecote, Warwickshire, England, near Stratford-upon-Avon, not at St. Paul's Covent Garden. The memorial is there, but not his grave.
|Barbara||Martita Hunt memorial|
Martita Hunt's birth year is given as 1900; however, her headstone and bios I've read give her birth year as 1899.

|Roger Fentiman||Donald Campbell grave place still wrong|
I see you still have not responded to the message in 2005 saying you have incorrectly buried Donald Campbell in St Andrew's Churchyard. I can confirm he is not; he's in Coniston Cemetery, in Old Hawkshead Road. Please correct this entry.
|Paul Narramore||Donald Campbell|
His body was NOT buried in the churchyard in Coniston but in the town cemetery a few hundred yards away.
