I was born on the "South Side" of Chicago, Illinois. My family, originally Southerners, returned to the South when I was less than a year old.
My father was a well respected pastor who led me to the Lord when I was seven years old. I was honored to have him baptize me later that same year.
I served in the US Army between the years of 1981 and 1983. I did my "permanent-party" duty at Ft. Campbell, Ky.
I am married with one child. I have always been a history buff, actually majoring in history at Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tennessee and Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tennessee. I am Southern Missionary Baptist, by religious persuasion and Republican in political persuasion.
I currently serve as Past Master of my Lodge and in many other offices, includeing: Funeral Master, District Deputy Chairman, History Committee for the Tenness Grand Lodge, F&AM. One of the proudest moments of my life came on 16 Jul 02 when I was raised as a Master Mason in Meridian Sun Lodge No. 50 in Athens, Tennessee. I also proudly serve as Past Master of my lodge. Furthermore, on 10 Sep 05 I completed my York Rite degrees and was dubbed "Sir Knight" in Athens Commandery #34.
For all gravers and genealogists, feel free to use any and all pics I may post. It gives me the greatest pleasure to assist someone in honoring a loved one who has gone on to their reward. | |
