|darealjolo||Henry Burroughs Holliday|
This is the text of an e-mail which came to me as sponsor.
I can find nothing in The Augusta Chronicle’s articles that shows Henry Burroughs Holliday, father of Doc Holliday, was mayor of Augusta or anything else connected with Augusta. He was briefly mayor of Valdosta, Ga.

Thanks for fulfilling my photo request.
I am also a contributor for Find A Grave and I appreciate your quick response.

.. well, here we go again. I've just had a bunch of folks telling me that the picture you posted on Jane McKey's Find A Grave listing 30397500 is really Rachel Martin Holliday Gloer and she's buried in another locale.
The Lowndes County Museum in Valdosta still identifies this picture as Jane McKey Holliday, mother of Doc Holliday and wife of Henry Burroughs Holliday.
I do not know who is right, but I'm putting a note on my ancestry tree so I won't get mixed up a third time.
|kay stafford||The real Jane McKey Holliday|
well, that took some doing. Finally was able to delete the pix from Rachel's Find A Grave memorial. Also took it off ancestry.
it is indeed Doc's mother Jane .. not his stepmother Rachel. I also changed my ancestry listings.
While you're at it look at Find A Grave 54233680 -- it lists Rachel Holliday AND Rachel Holliday Gloer at Sunset.Maybe you know how to fix that-- I don't.

|W. Washam||Martha Eleanora Holliday - 2 different sites|
When I looked up grave information for Martha Eleanora Holliday on Find-a-Grave, there were two hits -- one for this site (Oak Hill) and one for Rest Haven.
The two records were a little different. Same death date, but different birth date. I found this quite confusing. From studying the photos, I eventually realized that they are for the same grave and that apparently the section of Oak Hill where Martha is buried was called Rest Haven.
It would be good to either combine the two records and put a note of explanation on each record cross-referencing the other and explaining that they are the same cemetery. BTW, the birthdate for the Oak Hill record is correct (Dec. 3, 1849) since the tombstone indicates Martha was 6 months & 9 days old).
(I'll also send this message to the person who maintains the Rest Haven Cemetery Find-a-Grave record.)

I research the Manus mainly for my half sister, Mary Frances Manus, daughter of Rhome Jefferson Manus & Hattie Henson, married my father, Izagay "Ike" west.
I have many spellings for Manus. I can send you an invite to view my West Tree that have Manus, I don't know if that will help or not, I will need your email address to do that. I still have research to do on the Manus line. Happy hunting, Jo
|Larry D Long||Doc Holliday|
Penny, Are you related to the Hollidays? As a family tree revealed, I was great nephew to Dr. Crawford Long and a cousin to Doc Holliday. Would like to have more information if you are interested in chatting.

Thanks, Penny! I found it and a lot more.. Don't want to attach my email addy since this is a public board, do you have another way of doing it? I think I just need to talk to a local historian. Do you have any suggestions?
