My new project is to help get photos on the findagrave memorials for World War II KIA or Missing service people. Most my photo requests will be for that purpose. Many thanks for anyone who fulfills those requests!!|

You're very welcome for the photos, Mike. Yes, I did photograph both the parents. Just ran out of steam last night :) Thanks for setting up the Memorials .... photos added !

You're welcome, Mike. I'm always happy to see a portrait on their headstones.
|Jean||Philip Cory photo request:|
Hi Mike. I am going to add a photo to Philip's memorial, but it is only a picture of the area. I found no marker. I did not go into the office to confirm, but if there is one, it has been buried. Would you please call and confirm if there is a marker? We can have it uncovered if we know one is there. Then let me know what you find out and if there is one, I'll go back and get another picture.

You're very welcome, Mike. Yes, sad about the result. I've even run into one where a military marker had been ordered, but never installed. Glad I could at least find his grave.

The group stone is now in place for the "Naughty But Nice" crew (includes Charles Trimingham) that was lost during WWII over New Guinea and has a group cenotaph in Arlington National Cemetery. You requested photos quite awhile ago -- thank you for your patience, it takes a long time for those group stones to come in.

Glad that I could help. I went out to get a photo of my Grandparent's markers and decided to shoot a few others as well. I went to school with the younger "Ardine" and knew all of his family very well. Everyone has moved away but I still see Louella occasionally.
It wasn't until I was actually adding the photos of my Grandparents headstones onto the site that I saw the request.

Thank you for responding, I appreciate your effort for the servicemen.

This is the second marker that I know of that has been placed because of a photo request that I tried to fill but had to inquire as to why there wasn't one. I placed a small caption under the photo of his new marker because it was your photo request that was the spark that made it happen. Let me know if there's anything you ever need from Ft Rosecrans or Miramar Ntl.

Good news - They have placed a new stone for him and I've uploaded a photo of it for you.
