"In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe."

80913165 Joshua & Dianthus Backman
Hi Sharon,
Thank you for creating memorial 80913165 for Joshua E Backman. The Inscription seems to indicate that his wife Dianthus Backman is on the same headstone but I can't find her memorial. Do you know if one was created for her? Thank you.

Aubrey Smith (56518063)
Good evening Sharon.

I am the great niece of Cpl. Aubrey James Smith of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada. I have just recently found this website. Would you like some additional information on Uncle Aubrey?

Regards.

Sharon,

Due to your kind spirited response I have deleted the entry I made. Your memorial is now the only one for your relative. Thank you for being so cooperative! I had just seen in the same cemetery that Anonymous has duplicated at least six memorials I did with the last name Adams. I'm not too happy about that. That seems deliberate since there are so many dupes for the same last name. How can you not see that??

Happy New Year, Sharon!!

Best wishes,
High Plains :)

zwicker in blockhouse
Not Johanette, her mother in law, Alicia Catherine Risser Zwicker was born 1797 and when widowed was alive in blockhouse in 1881 at age 84 per census. The design on the gravestone is ribbons over a heart, a female styled decor.

unknown zwicker
This may be the grave of my great great grandmother, Johanette (Hannah as she was nicknamed) Zwicker. She married Rufus Zwicker. Her maiden name was also Zwicker. She was born in 1797 and died at age 84 in the Blockhouse as a widow after bearing around 14 children (exact number on another page.) I've been looking for her. Love your honoring her here. Records support my belief.

Binnie/McNeice Connection
Hi, I'm just leaving a note here in case anyone posts looking for a Binnie/McNeice connection. I'm researching Charles' daughter Mary Catherine Binnie, who married Joseph McNeice and they lived near Lumsden, Saskatchewan. Let me know if you're researching in that area so we can connect.
