RE: John and Joseph Gander
You're very welcome! I do hope that everything will be alright with your husband and that he comes home soon.

Warm regards,

RE: John and Joseph Gander
Hi Marion,

You're very welcom. The source for the edits is John and Joseph's 1925 Passport Applications, completed by themselves. If you will look at the remarks under each of their photos that I posted, it will give the exact location cited by FamilySearch digital records and the National Archives.

I was simply looking for my own relatives and ran across the Gander brothers that I could definitely identify and thought that I would pass along the additional information.

Warm regards,

RE: Memorial for William B. Hickey
Hi Marion, I got his info from his obit:
16 Nov 1954 - Troy Record, pg. 14
W. B. Hickey, Florist, Dies in Hospital
William B. Hickey, Cohoes florist who operated a shop in Remsen street for 28 years, died last night in the Albany Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Hickey was a lifelong resident of Cohoes and was a communicant of St. Agnes' Church. He was also a Fourth Degree member of the Cohoes council of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks Club, the AOH, and the Alhambra.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Vera Rabbit Hickey, he is survived by a son, Michael J. of Cohoes, and two sisters, Mrs. Franklin Durrant of Schenectady and Mrs. Oliver E. Lent of Albany. He was the son of the late Elizabeth Donahue and Michael J. Hickey and the brother of the late John F. Hickey of Cohoes.

I haven't been able to pinpoint an exact birth date. I didn't know you could put "about" for the year on findagrave. How do you do it?

I am so glad you decided to put them on find a grave. I have been searching for her for a long time. I finally got to the NY Archives today and she is indeed the one I have been looking for!
Beautiful photo.
