|Bio and Links|
| Born in '42. A kid during the Golden Age of film, when the Saturday matinee was a way of life. Cinema became another classroom for my generation, who learned history, and manners, and stretched our emotional horizons under the tutelage of Kazan, and George Stevens, and William Wyler, and DeMille, and all the greats.|
As we've matured we have grown into an appreciation of the films and actors who lit up the dreams of the generation ahead of us, and now consider women like Katherine Hepburn among the most beautiful and talented in the world. And Chaplin of couse, the genius whose talent is unbounded.
Wonderful years, wonderful memories, wonderful films. Now we pay homage to those films, and actors by visiting their final resting places, and leaving virtual flowers and our musings.
Hello and goodby. My friends.

|Holly Burke||James Dean|
I was deeply touched by the message you left for Jimmy today. How wonderful it is to connect with those who actually remember his films when they were first released! He gave a voice to the social outsiders of every generation. I cry whenever I watch him on the screen, because I see myself in his characters. As Jimmy himself said, "Only the gentle are ever really strong."

We both have left flowers for Erica can you please leave a flower for another entertainer Cynthia Stone 75864427 her stage name was echo valley thank you
|Paul Monaghan||Tom Bell.|
I did read your comments about Tom Bell, a very good actor, who started his career with depth of talent.
I thought the film..He Who Rides The Tiger, did show this.
Sadly, Tom declined a number of roles, which would have advanced his career.
|Never forgotten by Sweet Adeleide.||You said it.|
I just wanted to tell you that when I read your message to Ann Miller (the dancer) it's like you took the words right out of my mouth. I sppreciated your words about her. Good job!
I was dearly touched by your message left to Jennifer Jones, which so eloquently and passionately captured her life and her impression on a young romantic!My name is Tally Haugen, Im 53, and I think had I been born just a few years earlier, Id have loved to dance with you to a "Moonlight Serenade" or anything you wished! (Seriously enchanted by the dear words you left.)
I feel the same as you regarding that era of film. In my house right now i have incidentally, the portrait of another lovely lady, Carole Lombard, which hung over Clark Gable'd bed in Encino. , plus other items she owned.She helped me get thru 2 cancers and want to live, so One day I am sending her things "BACK HOME to INDIANA".. A posthumous THANK YOU! Fred AStaire too, my hero since I was raised on "The Late Show"..
Jennifer I appreciated more as I got older. I posess a pin she bought in 1947 during the filming of PORTRAIT OF JENNIE, (the gems twinkle like the Stars she and Eben saw that night!)
She and Mr Holden in LOVE IS A MANY SPELDORED THING?? The electricity and passion runs deeply all thru it..(Han Suyin was a strong lady , like her portrayer..)
ITs lovely u feel the legacies left by these people as u do..In this way what they left us will never be forgotten..

|Brian Gower from Wales||THANK YOU AND MERRY CHRISTMAS|
Thank you for your kind response, and good to see you are of part Welsh origin. So as your ancestors in Wales used to say "Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda" (Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year).
All the best,
|Brian Gower from Wales||General Robert E Lee|
I was moved by your message of 2 November 2008 and thought it the best of the many hundreds I read. I also enjoyed reading your bio/profile and agree, as one born in 1948, that the movies of our childhood were really special. Kind regards, Brian Gower, South Wales, UK
