Hello! I'm a graver, an artist, baseball entusiast, and an active participator of American Civil War living history presentations.|
Find-A-Grave is an excellent resource for determining one's heritage, family tree, and genealogy. Sometimes the smallest thread can lead to a successful path in defining someone's lineage instead of a dead end. (pun intended)
You can view some of my artwork at this site: flickr.com
I am a member of the Ohio Valley Civil War Association and the 6th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company A.

I've added links to his parents. Could you take a look at this edit when you have the time?

We are curious about this Wm Pound, # 21727423. How do you know the detail that he died of a fever? Do you have any other information about him? We are looking for his parents, but he's the only Pound/s buried in Hamilton Co.

|A Family Who Loves Genealogy||Hello there!|
I wanted to first thank you for the inordinate amount of work you have been doing here! We are thrilled to have you part of this community.
I wanted to gain permission for using the photo of the headstone for John Hoge # 78957022. Thanks EVER so much! The photo is wonderful and our family cannot thank you enough!

Hi, I am writing a family history book and I was wondering if you would grant me permission to use your photos of Mary B. (#23890144), William B. (#23890197) and John B. (#23889832) McClellan’s headstones? The three photos would be a nice addition to my book. If permitted, I will source your name in the caption under the pictures. ~Cindy
|Bigrug22||Ray Kolp Birthplace|
Thank you very much for the Ray Kolp entry. It is really excellent. Great work.
There is one minor error though, I believe:
Raymond Carl Kolp, the baseball player from the 1920s and 1930s, was born in New Berlin, Ohio in Stark County. New Berlin was renamed North Canton in 1918. ( See http://northcantonheritage.org/ for verification purposes.)
The FindAgrave entry today erroneously shows a birthplace of Berlin, Ohio in Holmes County. The correct birthplace is New Berlin (later North Canton) Ohio in Stark County.
Thank you kindly,

Hi--Do you happen to know if this John Hudson had any children or do you know spouse's name? Thanks!

|Mark Johnston||Joseph B Foraker Jr.|
I found these photos in a family photo album from the late 1800's/early 1900's. It appears I am somehow related to Mr. Foraker, who is the son of Ohio's Governer and Senator Joseph Foraker, who also ran for the Republican nomination for President, eventually losing to Warren G. Harding.
|A D||Samuel Elderkin|
Hello, I was just wondering why you say Samuel Elderkin died from a gunshot wound? Where did you get this information? I found him on Ancestry.com in the U.S. Registers of Deaths of Volunteers, 1861-1865 and it lists his cause of death as Typhoid Fever. Just wondering. Thanks!
