I'm the daughter of Paul "Pinky" Rademacher (1953-2007) and Anne Rademacher (1955-2011). Dad is best remembered by his amazing sense of humor. He knew how to make people laugh. Mom was a member of the Portland Historical Society and enjoyed researching Portland's past as well as our family genealogy.
I'm having a lot of fun cemetery walking and looking at graves. Someday, I would like to go to Germany and try to find the graves of my ancestors.
I think it's important to our history that we know the names of people who lived centuries ago. Even though we may never know the impact that they had, we know that they were here at one time to make an impact. | |

 | RE: Address of Lowden's burials in Keene Twp Tracey, I am sorry to have taken so long to get back with you. I had to get a new computer and don't have all my info transferred yet.
Here is what I do have right now.
It has came down from family members that Brazilla Nash is buried with his daughter, Catherine Nash Lowden on Thomas Lowden Property.
Millie Scott tells a story of Eli, son of Thomas and Catherine Nash Lowden, burying his mother, Catherine Nash, in the yard of their log cabin in Keene township, Ionia when her grandfather was only a year and a half old and Eli was eleven Burial on Thomas Lowden property on Belding Rd., Keene, Ionia County, Michigan.

[Send Reply] Ionia Co MI Hello there Sharon
I have been working on unmapped cemeteries in Michigan on Find A Grave. Came across Back Yard of Tom Lowdens log cabin
I'll grant you there are burials back there. Interesting though!
Anyway, I would like to attach a map to the page, any idea where it is?
Could we come up with a better name as well? As in maybe Lowden's Burials??
The other one there is way too long. Lowden's Burials sounds more dignified.
Thanks! Blue

[Send Reply] RE: Thomas Lowden Hi Sharon
I finally got my but* back on Ionia CO
Thanks for the info, I shall start there and see what I can do for a map
The new name you came up with didn't need the Keene Twp part. It would be in the address area or in the info area. For some reason admin does not want that word township anywhere but in the info area. Not sure why. Weird.
I'll get that removed in the fix thread, I am adding the other cemetery today to the thread for deletion.
thanks for your help, very much appreciated! Is there any other additional info that you've acquired since your message to me last?
Thanks again Blue

[Send Reply] one of those hey there
I did what I could, the closest thing I could find was "maybe" section 10 in Easton Twp...course I could be wrong.
Guess we will just have to make it one of those cemeteries in Michigan without a map. Maybe someone else will come along in the future and figure it out.
I am still going to ask to remove the Keene Twp wording out.
Thanks for your help Until next time Blue RE: Ionia Co MI Let me see if I can find any land records for Thomas Lowden in Keene, Ionia County, Michigan. Thank you for the idea of changing the name of the burial ground to Lowden's Burals. I will make that change. Sharon Risner RE: Ionia Co MI I could not find any land records, but did find that the Lowden family lived near Belding, in Keene Township, in Ionia County, Michigan. | Rumpsa Hi there...I saw the msg you sent to Ed in reference to the transfers. It's been my experience with him that if you do fall within the guidelines of transfers, you will have to go through Find a Grave to get them transferred. This man used to have a notice on his profile page stating NO TRANSFERS NO EXCEPTIONS. Seriously..he did. With my mother-in-law, I had to go through Find a Grave and they transferred it. Good luck!! Just thought I would let you know! :) --CarrieAdded by A84C72 on Apr 05, 2013 9:06 PM | | | Patty Hall

 | Father Auer Hi Tracy, Sorry to bother you, I wondered if you can tell me the date on Father Auer's tombstone that he was ordainned. I do the Portland, Michigan: Hometown History page on facebook and I did a little story about him. I'd like to include the date of his ordination if you can read it. Your photographs are ALL great and I appreciate all that you do on findagrave. Sincerely, Marilyn | | | | [View all messages...] |
